I am thinking of heading down to Firebird on 11/14 to get some times before my pulley upgrade. How about more Mini's to join me, to watch or race.

I'd love to go watch, but that Friday night is the AMO club meeting out in Surprise. This is the last one prior to club elections in December.

I'm in for Firebird. I don't know if I want to go all the way to Surprise for the meeting. Would like to go to Firebird and watch, not sure if I will run my car.I think it only cost $15 to race. I have been there before but never saw a MINI run.

 

Me bad. I forgot about the AMO meeting. Well, I need to get some times B.P. (before pulley) and that Friday is what works for me. Hope to see you guys there.

and alas I read the rules. I have a crack in the front glass. wouldn't be able to run anyhow.

O.K. Back from Firebird drags. Got 7 runs in from 7:00 to 9:00. Best I could do was 16.004. Hard getting good traction. The launch is so important in drag racing.
Lots of cars started showing up after 8:00, increasing wait times. Kalvin called, and said he was racing after I left. Maybe he will post his times too. I will head back out there after pulley upgrade, and post new times.

 

Thanks for posting your times. I know you'll do better next time. When is the next time you're going to be running?

 

The firebird schedule only shows draging on Dec. 5th and 6th. I have a full weekend already planned then. No schedule out for Jan. yet, so we"ll see.

 

I did terrible, I had bad starts best time was 16.7. it was fun though
