As far as why a non-MINI owner would want them goes...
It's not that someone WANTS them; there are people who steal them from nice cars just for the thrill. They probably ended up in the trash around the corner. Just be glad they didn't key your paint or steal your antenna or do something else even more stupid.

yeah, mine got taken too. I think it's because 2 Fast 2 Furious is encouraging more idiot kid behavior.

When did yours get stolen? I think mine got ripped off (they only took 3) at the movie premiere on the 29th or the next day. They took my Italian Job antenna ball too. That was my second pair. I almost have enough left over to make a new set!

I had mine stolen twice already. Most likely culprits? Kids. They look great on bikes I'm sure!

Yes, they took all 4. Left the Italian Job antenna ball there.
It was in the Best Buy parking lot. Many hoodlums there!

You know what Sugar....it could have been the premier on Thursday night.
My wife suspected that was the day. I didn't notice until the next day when I left the Best Buy. But I thought it could have been that night. Since it happened to you there, I bet it was that night. Did you park on the Noth side of the Theatre?

Seriously, it was most likely kids. I had the caps taken from my truck a few times already, and in all cases I was parked on a street popular with the youngsters riding their bikes around. They must have wanted the shiny chrome caps for their rides.

Yeah, we were on the north side. Just imagine being a kid. All of those MINIs with those stemcaps. When I first got my MINI, the plain ones even got stolen. Now I just try to keep the black plastic ones on. :smile: It's a bit cheaper that way.

It looks like a thief is a foot in Phoenix. I too had my 'S' valve stem caps stolen from the Premier, north side of theater parking lot. Well, I guess nothing is sacred!
Went ahead and purchased some anti-thieft caps. Look pretty nice and cheap 7 bucks a set on special. I'd hate to think that another MINI owner would steal from a 'brother'. I think it's just kids with no parental supervision.

Well it seem that many of us were violated at the premier.
For such a nice area, and nice mall, with all those golf cart security,
it is amazing that they were able to walk around that many cars and
take all of our valve stem caps.
I guess us owners in Phoenix just have good taste.......but to many punks!
