Anyone get the ECU upgrade with the pulley? And if so, tell us all about it - popwer, throttle response, MPG changes if any, etc...

Hey guys, I finally made it to see Randy on Sunday. I really wanted to be there Saturday but I was kinda hungover and didnt want to drive that far.
I highly recommend the pulley install to anyone with a MCS. My car was bone stock until this mod and it makes such a difference that I cant wait to get an exhaust and intake installed next
I left South Tampa at 6:10am and was at Renntech at 9am, not bad going except I got pulled over on the way down for speeding About five miles before the Northlake exit there was around 20 state troopers pulling people over. They got me from a plane so my radar detector did me no good. 91 in a 55 yeilds a $271 ticket. It was such a scam as I was travelling with a pack of cars and all of a sudden the speed limit goes from 70 to 55 because of construction. Its a good job there were no workers present as fines are doubled. I only have myself to blame but it did put a dampner on my day and I apologize to Randy for not staying around any longer as he was kind enough to start working on my car as soon as I pulled in, and it was very HOT!!
Randy is a top notch bloke and he can work on my car anytime, Thanks again.
Limey.

Although I did not get the pulley upgrade from Randy, because I already had it done it was nice being there to join the festivities.
It was nice seeing everyone and meeting Randy.
Thanks to RENNtech for the use of their facilities.
Thanks for the pics Ron, cute. Who is that mystery man in the group picture...hum...
I timed Randy on one of the pulley upgrades...54 minutes...can you believe it! WOW, AMAZING! Aimee

Dave, Randy say's you're the best guinea pig a shop could ever have! You are so luckly to have him in your area!
Just picked up my software from Randy and he's still hard at work on cars. With the software all I can say is "OMG!" This thing is fast now! Popped up to 130 in no time at all so I'm sure my track times at Sebring will improve dramatically! Can't wait for the end of the month!

whew....glad that picture was deleted!!

Well, just thought I'd let you know Randy was dropped off safely at the Miami airport around 12:30 this afternoon.

He gave me a bunch of business cards, I told him I would pass them out at TS on Friday.

Thanks again Randy for coming down to visit~!

It is RennTech's division EvoTech that is responsible for the flash ECU upgrade that puts the icing on the pulley cake !!

What a blast! Thanks to everyone who came  .

I have to especially thank Hartmut, Bob, Jeff and Mike at RENNtech for opening the shop to me and coming in on the weekend. Thanks to Oliver in Germany as well.

I also would like to thank Ron and Bruce for all of the help with the organization of the party.

Thanks to 2minis for the ride from Tampa!! Thanks to minicoopersgirl for the ride to MIA!!

I feel like I just won an Oscar and have to run through the list - except I'm really being sincere! Without all of you folks, the weekend couldn't have happened.

I'm resting tonight, then I'll get back to the board, e-mails, and phone messages tomorrow. Lots of testing to be done - and good new info as well. As soon as I sort through the 209 pms, the 40 voice messages, and the 110 new e-mails, I'll post some of it .

Thanks again - and you guys are a blast!

I got the last pulley Install on monday at 5pm.
WHAT WHAT a difference, the car is fast.
I have only the pulley and the magnaflow exhaust and this week getting the alta intake from randy.
Thank you Randy for a job well done.
On monday we timed Randy in the last 3 installs and Randy got better by the car
first one took 1 hour
second one 57 minutes and the last one 54 minutes

Thanks Randy again for helping us with this massive installation of pulleys and hope you comeback for another workshop.

VERY HAPPY CUSTOMER IN FLORIDA

Randy,
Glad you made it back home in one piece....
a ride from Tampa with me and from Aimee
to MIA is pretty scary stuff. I have been involved
with cars and racing since I was about 15 and
have never seen anyone with the entusiasm and
expertise that Randy has for the Mini. It truly
was an amazing feat. On Friday AM I bought Randy
breakfast at 8 AM and noticed arond 11 AM he
hadn't eaten it yet. Talk about focused!

2minis,
I wonder if minicoppersgirl nose is ok after that peanut hit her?
Yea it must be nice to be young again like Randy with all that energy. After the pulley test drive that he does. He parked my car in front of the shop and ran back to get started on the next car. The man seems to be in high gear all the time.
I see Brucie had to remove his our skid plate to have his pulley done. Of course he might paint it EB to match his car.
