Ryen Neal Memorial Event
This is a gathering in the Nations Oldest City, St. Augustine Florida
The gathering will begin Friday March 12th and run through Sunday March 14th. I plan on having a group dinner, a party at a local British Pub with hopefully a few raffel items (more info later) and what ever fun we can come up with!
Charity Info: As most of you know I lost my infant daughter Ryen in December to a Congenital heart defect . We spent almost a whole month in Wolfson Children's Hospital and received unbelievable care from the Doctors and Nursing staff. In honor of those dedicated people and to help out other children in the same situation as my daughter was I'm asking that each attendee at the event donate what they can afford and I will pass this donation on to the hospital in Ryen's name. Feel free to give what you can, be it $5 or $500, every little bit helps.
Info about Wolfson's : Wolfson Children's Hospital (WCH) is a regional referral hospital serving children and is the only children's hospital in Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia.
Our staff and physicians believe children have special healthcare needs, and they cannot be treated as little adults. The hospital's facilities, equipment and staff are oriented toward children. A team approach that extends from physicians to nurses to technicians and the rest of the hospital staff creates a family-like atmosphere for patients, enhancing the care they receive. Our physicians are dedicated professionals in fields from virtually all medical and surgical specialties and subspecialties.
Wolfson Children's Hospital is the main pediatric teaching facility for the University of Florida/Jacksonville Pediatric Residency Training Program. Through a collaborative agreement, the institution provides University of Florida residents a comprehensive inpatient experience as well as additional educational opportunities in multiple pediatric subspecialties and research. Nemours Children's Clinic and Shands/Jacksonville also play an integral role in the pediatric residency program, allowing these young professionals the opportunity to be involved with a diverse patient mix and nationally renowned faculty. Wolfson Children's Hospital is proud of its affiliation with the University of Florida/Jacksonville.
Where to stay: :I've blocked off a set of rooms at a local hotel in St. Augustine. After driving around all Sunday and talking to hotels I found out that most hotels are already booked for this weekend so our selection was limited but hopefully I've found an acceptable place for everyone.
The hotel is the Sleep Inn
601 Anastasia Blvd
St Augustine Fl 32084
904-825-4535
Ask for the Sunshine MINIs group to get a $64.00 a night rate. The rooms our double occupancy, queen beds and no smoking can be requested. As of now I have 10 rooms set aside and they will hold these rooms for a couple of weeks so please go ahead and call and make your reservations!

Okay, here's the details:
Friday Night: I know people will be traveling this day so I am not planning anything big or official for this evening. If you are going to be available for dinner around 6:30pm let me know. PM me, email me what ever. I've got one restaurant willing to take about 12 people so let me know!
Saturday: At leisure, I plan on motoring over to The King's Head Pub for lunch around 11:30. This brit pub is on US1 and is a little drive from our hotel. Great place for a picture, little British building with a real double decker bus outside! Also a big grass lot for group photos.
Saturday Night: Dinner at Gypsy Cab Company at 6:30 pm (they actually have a room big enough for all of us). They have been kind enough to set their banquet room aside for our use only. Please post here if you will be attending this group dinner (their site http://www.gypsycab.com/ ) You can check out their site for a sample menu.
After dinner we will adjourn to The British Pub right down the street for pints, raffle drawing, and a silent auction. This pub has a pool table, dart boards and pints!
Sunday: On your own.

Okay, here's how the donated prizes are going to work out
The less expensive items will be raffled off. The raffle tickets will be $1 a ticket. Tickets go into a jar and are randomly pulled to win a prize. In this group of prizes are t-shirts, hats, stickers, calanders and a gift certificate.
The more 'key' items will be won in a silent auction. These prizes will include:
