I have a 2015 Mini Cooper with the Media Package. I can connect my iPhone 6 and play songs, but if I connect a USB memory stick to the USB port, the Mini will not recognize it. I took it to the dealer and they could not get it to work either.

I have tried different memory sticks, with no luck.

I have a Mac, but I do not think that would be the problem.

I do not understand why it will play my iPhone 6, but not a memory stick!

 

What is the format of the drive? Make it FAT32.
What type are the files? It may or may not play Apple Lossless. It should play FLAC and most other formats.
How much is on the drive? It can take a while to process large amounts of files.

All good ideas. I did get it to work. I might have had too much on the memory stick for it to read. All is working now! Grazie!
