Get Rid of the "Old MarketPlace"
Get Rid of the "Old MarketPlace"
Since Nam is having so many problems with the "Old MarketPlace" maybe its time to get rid of it.
Its not fixable in house and its in such a state of not working with photos on a regular basis, cut the stress and remove it.
I just used the "New MarketPlace" and it was super easy !
Lets not keep the old model around since its such a pain for everyone !
Move forward with the new model and everyone will be much happier.

Thank you for voicing your support for the new system, we are certainly headed in that direction over the next few weeks; and it will be phased shutting down the addition of ads, then letting the ones posted phase out over their 90day auto-delete.
With the change being so significant, we are also balancing and trying to be very cognizant of the fact people will take some time to adapt, and I would like to have some step by step instructions with photos in place first before we're 100% committed so that everyone, new and long time user, can find the experience to be as easy as you have. And if it takes someone a little while to learn the new system (that should actually feel very familiar to those posting in the forums), then they aren't stuck with it as an only option while the adjust.
Use the new system as heavily as you can, and get your MINI friends in on it as well; the more people that are using the new vs the old, the smoother the transition will be (there have been several mentions from people still not even knowing the new system was even on the site). The time is coming we're just not quite all the way there yet.

Is there a way we can get the new marketplace to have an 'overview' or 'summary' page, like the old marketplace, where we can see all recently posted adds (with or without thumbnail photos)?
I heartily support this idea. I don't use the new marketplace at all, for this reason. I want to browse, not hunt.
I'm sure the new MarketPlace will be as good or even better than the Old as its an "in house" system.
Give Nam alittle time to get things to run smoothly as the "Old" used to be before all the problems.

I'm with Way on this one, I prefer the old MarketPlace. It's so much easier to navigate than the new one. I can go to the listing, look at the current listings, then move on without having to go through a search engine.

I said "get rid of the old marketplace" when it was not working correctly.
Now it seems to be fixed once again, but I don't like using it when the photos won't show up .
Good work NAM, keep it working ! ! !
