Newbie from Oregon....

(Whoops.... didn't quite get the introduction email and I already posted this in the R53 Section)
First time Mini owner and I feel I may be using this site extensively. So let me start off by say "thank you" in advance to all those who have the patiences for the newbies, as I am one of them.
Here's what I'm starting with:
2006 Mini Cooper S with 65K miles.
Manual transmission / Dynamic Stability Control / Limited Slip Differential

M7 strut tower reinforcements
H&R 19mm sway bar
Koni FSD shocks
Proxy 4+ tires
LF speed sensor and wheel hub were replaced in 2012
Crank Position sensor ring was done in 2012
Brake fluid was flushed in 2012
Coolant flush in 2013
Supercharger was replaced in 2013
Water pump was replaced in 2013
Throttle body was replaced in 2016
Other than that it is stock with routine maintenance. It's a kick in the pants to drive.... and everything feels tight.

I have run through all the points "MOD MINI" goes through in his "buyers guide" on YouTube and most everything checks out, (from what I can tell... but with not much experience, I could be missing a lot.)
At this point I'm compiling a list of everything I need to go through to for preventative maintenance.
So let it begin....

Welcome to NAM. Very nice looking Gen1.

You have joined a group of enlightened individuals that recognize that the MINI is a great handling car and a kick in the pants to drive.

Welcome neighbor.... I'm in SW Portland and there's a few of us who frequent PIR (and other local tracks) in the spring/summer/fall for track nights, HPDE's, etc. PM me if you are interested!

Hi and welcome to the NAM family!
Congrats on your Mini buy. 06 MCS is my very favorite year Mini. They are small on the outside, handle like on rails, look great and drive the twisties even better!
There is a long distance drive coming up in July. Leaving Portland on July 14th and headed for Keystone, Colordao by July 20 to 22nd.
I am in Oregon also and live in southern Oregon, but will be starting in Portand on this run. Here is the link: http://www.minitakesthestates.com/

Itsme Wayne's 06 MCS JCW model. I hope to be bring this one to the Mini takes the States Event 2018

Thanks. The whole "track" thing is hopefully in my future... we'll see what the wife thinks. But I am interested.

Looks like an amazing trip. I'll put it on my calendar but I have this thing called a job that gets in the way of a lot of my fun. If not this year maybe next year. I need to retire so I can play!!!
