Excellent information everyone, thanks. Yes, my tuner told me 80-20mix with 350-500cc is what I should use. I will try to measure flow with the 1mm and the SYS jumper. 500cc is per minute, right?

My settings, after some testing going back and forward, I was able to get up to the 400cc mark with no restrictor and the injector labeled as 8. Not sure what size is it as I only have 6, 7 and 8.

The sizes that you have are 0.6, 0.7, 0.8 millimeters.

Just a note to everyone. The .6, .7 and .8 are what's included standard in the kit from Jeff at Howerton Engineering. You can however when ordering choose any 3 nozzles you wish. When I ordered mine I chose .8, .9 and 1.0 mm nozzles. The .9 mm nozzle is a great choice for most. The 1.0 adds a little safety margin but will bog on map A and you can still feel it a tiny bit on map B. The flow on a .8 drops to 350cc at 20lbs of boost which is a bit low for my own peace of mind.

The shop where I take the car said the same. So they are thinking on either buy bigger ones or drill the smallest one as im never going to use it...

Has anyone connected two tanks? I have the HE Mini tank, but would like another one.

Howerton sells a dual tank. We installed one in my friends Clubman mQubed Motorsport, Manic Tuning Dealer

On a side note, I could only get 400cc out the .8 so had to order the 1 jet. Once I flow tested it I still could only get 400 out of that one. There is a screw in the bottom of the pump, just give it ONE click in and flow again. That's all it took to get the 500 out of the 1 jet for me .

Ahh good to know...Any pictures? I wil need to remove the enclosure, dont I?

Mario,
I know they sell a dual tank, but I´m exploring the option to add a new bigger one to the already installed tank,

I think I was able to un-bolt it from the car and tilt it over enough to make the adjustment

This is a general pic I got off line but gives you an idea .

It bumps the pressure up , more pressure more flow. Just go one click clockwise if you don't get 500cc with the 1 jet otherwise leave it alone. Lol

Nahhhh I like to play!!!!

By they way. Where is the magic number 500cc taken from? The Aquamist chart says it should be a % of the total injector cc´s and W:M mixture to determine jet size, Doing math, if I chose 20%, R56 injectors will be around 625cc. Is this correct?

Based on the setup Jeff sends in his kit, what should I move to have the spray start eaelier, lets say at 9-8 psi? Mine starts at about 12, so I thought if starts a little bit earlier it could help the engine.

Excellent! thanks. By the way. The HFS4 Jeff sells, on the web page description it lists:
"Control Board Modification for R56 use ( DI and Amplification)" What are those if everything is at 12´o clock?

"Control Board Modification for R56 Specific Jetting (Gauge Calibration)" Whats that?

There are 3 circuit traces on the back of the control board that should either be cut or soldered closed. I don't recall the specifics but when I get home tonight I look in the manual.

On the back of the circuit board you have:

1.) Pre-amp gain. For the MINI the x2.5 should be linked.

2.) Map sensor type (MPS). For the MINI "S" the 2 bar should be linked. For the JCW, I believe that you want to link the 3 bar.

3.) Flow Mapping. Typically for the MINI link the 0 and 1. If you are using 3 or more jets (or flowing more than 1000 cc/min) then you would want to link the 1 and 2.

Here's a link to download the manual if you don't already have it. Refer to pages 21 and 22.

Excellent! Thanks Cerenkov. I will take a look to the board and comment my findings. I had the version 3 of that document, I dont believe much changed.

So I tried the 1mm and still got 400cc. I didnt have time to check the pump, but this is the back of the board. Looks like the gain is set to 2.5, but eveything else is default.

Any ideas why the system wont spray suddenly? Ir was working when I got the 500cc, then tried with a couple of runs in the highway and then it just stopped out of nowhere. Tried a couple of times with the SYS option and no flow at all.

When you say "no flow", do you mean no flow indicated on the gauge, or no flow out of the nozzle? I usually hear my pump running when it's active. Can you hear yours? Depending on your control box location, cables can work loose. Have you checked all cable connections are secure and no broken wires? When I first installed mine, I had some contaminated meth that plugged up the fast acting valve --- pump would run but valve wouldn't open. Then there's the fluid level sensor --- is it working OK? I also had a leaking hose near the engine acc belt --- bad harness routing so fluid never got to the FAV after the belt wore a hole in the hose. I forget, isn't there a fuse someplace in the system? If you had the PC board out, did you handle and re-install it safely --- ESD precautions?

Lotsa things can go wrong --- component failure, installation mistakes, contaminates, workmanship. If you haven't already done so, maybe establish a working relationship with Jeff Howerton, he's awesome at customer service.

Best of luck ---

When I installed mine, the pump relay mounted in the tank assembly had worked loose and the plug was not make contact.

Didn't you work back there recently?
