Solo Damage P/S fan with a cone?

Damage P/S fan with a cone?
is it possible to cause any damage to the power steering fan due to a cone stuck underneath the car? Has it happened to anyone?

Since you list your car as an '05, you should be fine. MINI started putting grilles on the fans sometime in '04 and that should protect your PS fan.
I suppose it's possible to break the fan grille with a cone, but not likely. I haven't heard of anyone having such a problem.
If you're really concerned, there are several vendors who sell a metal grille that you could install as an extra safety measure. (Personally I wouldn't waste the money on it though as my '04 has a grille already - but I'm cheap.
