Road America 6-24-2011
Road America is next. We race at 6:15 Friday evening.
Schedule: http://www.grand-am.com/assets/2011R...alSchedule.pdf
We will have a new driver for this event and one who is well known to racing fans everywhere. Kenny Schrader of NASCAR fame. Watch for a press release in the next day or so.
195 Dicky Riegel and Kenny Schrader
196 Ron Farmer and Jason Hart
198 Sarah Cattaneo and Owen Trinkler
We may also race the 197 with myself and and VJ Mirzayan depending on the prep schedule and timing. We are still working hard to get the 198 back on the track after the mess at Lime Rock. The 198 sits 18 points back in 5th place.
Road America is a long and fast 'old school' track that will not favor the Mini's. We have tested there and the cars are quick but the Turbo cars will have an advantage at the top end.
Grand Am continues to impose a rev limit on us so we are further handicapped.

... and Kenny appeared to have a GREAT time!!
Per the Grand-Am site:
"This is as much fun as I've ever had in a race car. This is fantastic. It is really neat. What a beautiful facility. My biggest surprise driving the Mini was the brakes, and how it stops on a dime. I have a little problem when the right-rear tire comes off the ground - where I grew up, that ain't good." - Ken Schrader, No. 195 RSR Motorsports Mini Cooper S

Well done RSR Motorsports! Congratulations to the whole team! Always nice to have another convert to the MINI way. Glad to hear that Ken Schrader enjoyed himself. Hope he will join the team again for another day of fun and speed under the sun.
