From MINIUSA:
MINIUSA AWARDS NUZZO MOTOR SPORTS PRIZE MONEY FOR PODIUM FINISH Contingency Program Pays Out $6,000 for Third-Place Finish at Watkins Glen
06/24/2005
Woodcliff Lake, NJ - June 24, 2005... MINI USA has awarded Nuzzo Motor Sports for its participation and hard-won podium finish at Watkins Glen, Saturday, June 11th with a $6,000 contingency payout. The private team of Nuzzo Motor Sports, who campaigned two MINI Cooper S' in Grand Am took full benefit of MINI's contingency program, notably with a 3rd place win in the ST class.
MINI USA's contingency program offers private MINI racing efforts an incentive to compete in grassroots motorsport. From SCCA Solo, to Road Racing to Rally, those who compete have the opportunity to earn up to $7,500 per race. In addition, MINI USA's race contingency program now offers publicity support for any podium finisher who successfully competes with a MINI in select classes. (Please refer to the attached MINI Motorsport Awards Program for details.)
Historically, MINI earned its racing legacy on the challenging rally circuits in Europe, most notably Monte Carlo where a MINI Cooper S won in 1964, 1966 and 1967. To this day MINI remains an ideal platform for those who want to successfully compete in grassroots motorsport - from auto crossing to drag racing.
"The success of Nuzzo Motor Sports' racing efforts in the world of Grand Am is not only a testament to MINI's agility on the racetrack, but also to the commitment of a private team such as Nuzzo Motor Sports to compete." stated Jeff Stracco, Product Manager for MINI USA, "It is only fitting that MINI USA recognize MINI racing privateers such as Nuzzo Motor Sports who achieve this kind of success in grassroots motorsport competition."

That video is soooooo sweet. If anyone ever thought of getting a Porsche for the handling, show them this video and save them from the horror of spending twice the money.. Looking for Nuzzo on the top of the pedestal at Barber. Number ONE all the way(not referring to the numbers on the cars). Go NUZZO.
I am glad to see MINUSA FINALLY opening up their FAT wallet
Maybe they should look into sponsoring some other MINIS in less formal events as well...

That is a great video. I laughed ever time the Mini passed a Porsche. I noticed another Mini on the video. Who was that? I will be there at Barber.

Onasled had a video on here of him passing some Porsches. I also have video of Nuzzo on the track at Barbers . Here is the link.

I think that poster was accidentally referring to an onboard camera video of one of our NAM members, onasled. It was at that time he had Lime Rock track vid of him taking quite a few Porsches to task.
Good stuff, but not GrandAm-related...
