Just curious. I would like to get up there for at least one event this year. I think the race is on Sunday?

Mid-Ohio

We'll be at Mid-Ohio August 26-28. Our race is on Sunday. We're looking forward to being back at MO as its a good track for us.
I'll post more details as we get closer. Right now we're getting ready for Barber and Trois Rivieres. Back to Back race July 29-30 and August 5-7.

Have been planning on this one...

As per www.USMiniClub.com

We have canceled the Watkins Glen Rally and scheduled the Mid-OHIO after receiving email reply from Tony Nuzzo that they are definitely going to be there. To register and join a going group of MINI’s go to

http://www.usminiclub.com/Forums/vie.../start=15.html

This will be a three day event, about 11-12 hours each way. Here is the route map we have planned:

Hope you will join us

To Nuzzo....

To Nuzzo....

I'm very interested in taking LOTS of "build" photos for future reference. Unfortuntly, I will unlikely be able to attend pre-weekend, even then till noon Saturday but am planning all day Sunday. Tentatively, what would be a convenient time for me to drop by and ask a lot of questions? Are the team and cars even accessable to the public?

Access to Tony's crew is never a problem .... you will, however, need a Paddock Pass......

Mid-Ohio

Hi Race fans,
Just a short note to let you know we'll be at Mid-Ohio this weekend. Our race is on Sunday and we'll be running two cars. Mid-Ohio is a great spectator venue, you can picnic on the grassy hills or b-b-q under the trees. Heck you can even walk the paddock and check out all the team up close and personal. If you do make it out be sure and stop by and say hello.

My brother and dad will be there racing in the BMWCCA Club Races, so I told them to come over and say 'Hi'. My brother (Brett) has a red E30 M3, number is 042. Here's a picture for reference:

Say 'Hi' if you happen to see them. They should be with the BMS guys (Chris, Dan, etc.).

Good luck with your race!

Sounds like a ROUGH, dangerous outing for the NUZZO MINIs AGAIN:

Why can't the other drivers STAY OFF THE MINIS ???

Wish I was there for Support and excitement !!!

Here are some of the race Notes: http://swww.grandamerican.com/News/Article.asp?ID=4916

Lap 48 - 1:35:57 (2:39 p.m.) - The No. 50 Mazda and the No. 02 Mini Cooper are dragging parts and have been instructed to report to pit lane for repairs.

Lap 68 - 2:07:00 (3:10 p.m.) - The No. 20 Mini Cooper makes a routine pit stop and Pattee gets in. At the current pace, 15 laps remain in the Grand-Am Cup 200. The No. 6 Porsche is in pit lane.

Lap 69 - 2:09:50 (3:13 p.m.) - Race officials notify crew members of the No. 74 Acura that car's loose hood must be repaired.

Lap 76 - 2:20:29 (3:24 p.m.) - With six laps remaining, the No. 96 BMW has opened up a 23.554-second lead over the No. 28 Porsche. In the ST class, the battle between the No. 95 BMW and No. 00 Cobalt continues, with the No. 95 car continuing to fend off the charge.

Lap 79 - 2:26:45 (3:30 p.m.) - The ST-leading No. 95 BMW makes contact with the rear of the No. 20 Mini Cooper in Turn 6 and slides off-course, giving the class lead to the No. 00 Cobalt with fewer than four laps remaining. The No. 95 has right-front bumper damage and is dragging pieces.

Lap 81 - 2:28:30 (3:32 p.m.) - The No. 90 BMW slides into the gravel trap at Turn 4.

Lap 82 - 2:29.43 (3:33 p.m.) - WHITE FLAG waves to begin the 82nd and final lap. No. 96 BMW leads by 32.994 seconds in GS.

Lap 82 - 2:31:17 (3:35 p.m.) - CHECKERED-FLAG waves to end the Grand-Am Cup 200. Bill Auberlen crossed the finish line in his No. 96 BMW, giving him and co-driver Justin Marks the victory. The No. 00 Cobalt took the ST class victory, with Andy Lally and Jamie Holtom at the wheel.
