Onasled/M7 race car stuff...NEW
Not quite that showy though. Pleanty of flaws that just keep it in the 100/100 rule of racing.
If you ever get up this way, make sure you visit.
Thanks..

Haaa..haa....
Look what I found on MU. Guess I'll take it as a complement. Actually wish I could have fit a mini hood (non s). Nice job.
Funny actually as my best friend has this color and we decided we would paint it like that. But the white hides the flaws better...

Nice art work
Was this done in Photoshop? Very cool for trying different paint schemes.

it's ridiculously obvious it's a tracing of your car... why would you say that he's taking credit for it?
hope you dont get too hurt by this post and remove all your posts in this thread

onasled........
I will ask this without wanting to sound confrontational.
I am not real familiar with the BMWCCA races, but why spend the time and money to set up a car to basically run in club races? Wouldn't this be something that would be better designed to be competitive in another larger series?

real thing:
vs chop:
Yah he definitely moved and re-styled the lower canard a bit...I was just kidding around as he and i have discussed how much we should alter when one of us is doing a vector of someone else's car
I never asked for any credit on motoring|underground and I'm sorry if I've offended.

The Mini S is not welcome in a whole lotta classes, at least classes that I would be real interested in. SCCA has only showroom stock and then I think ITE. NASA has GTS which I also plan to explore, but NASA in the northeast is quite week. NASCAR has Grand Am which is hardly more then running SCCA showroom stock, and I also don't have a pro license to participate. I'm sure you have followed Nuzo and now Randy in Grand am and see how hard they have to fight just to get the Mini competitive. If SCCA allowed the S to legal for a GT class or any production class, I would be there.
BMWCCA is very competitive. Yea, it's "club racing" and uses rule 13/13, but the competition on the higher end is intense. Some of the best racing I have seen is in BMWCR. Many pros participate in BMWCR. A lot of the cars I will be racing against are retired Grand Am cars, like from Turner Motorsports. Don't be fooled by the "club racing" connection. SCCA and NASA are all about "club racing"Also don't be fooled by the definition of "Pro Racing" Grand Am is full of 'seats for rent' and many drivers are not real pro racers. I am NOT taking anything away from Grand Am, it's just a bit boring to me in the ST class, the only one Mini S is permitted to race in.
BMWCR D-Modified left the door open for me to do just about anything I want to my car as far as modifications. It's the build that I really love, as it was with sailing. I can drive, but knowing that I can build such a car on my own is really the high for me.
Anyway, I hope this helps you understand why I went this direction. Here is a video of a BMWCR race at VIR from Brian Watt's in car camera. Take some time to watch the whole thing. This is no NAMCC series. This is VERY competitive stuff.
Loading that Vid now. Will post it when it's ready to view. Do watch it, it's a pretty good vid.

He tried to help me what?? This photo shop was done obviously well after my car was done. He posted it with only one sentence. "From the conceptual garage". No credit to me what so ever. I'm making no tirade about this. It's that I created this car and when I see someone post such a picture without giving credit then I get somewhat inxed. Forgive me for being somewhat
possessive. No big deal here. I said it was more of a compliment then anything.
I was by no means challenging the aerodynamic comment that you made...I'd believe your friend as well.... I was just joking around with rawk about making small alterations while vectoring peoples' cars (like the headlights or lower canards).
And a few more to ponder
