Not one of those cars in the Vid, including the vett can keep up with this Mini on that track.

We finally finished a Sequential Shifter System For Greg so he can get some quality track time on the unit...
The Bump shifter will be done next week so he can back up the paddles with
something on the floor (I bet he will love paddles though).
I'm sure Greg will keep us fully informed about the process and his feelings
about the system.

Everyone? There was no mention of everyone, so I'm not sure where that response came from... I remember why I only visit NAM once every few weeks. Some just feel so compelled to voice a negative opinion, and contribute nothing else.
There are people who want to see this system put to the test. I recall that there was some healthy discussion here about the actual performance benefits along with tranny longevity concerns... Well, Greg will tax it much more than most of us ever would; and I welcome that - as should all true MINI enthusiats.
I don't see myself getting the S3 for my MINI, but I think it's cool that we have such an option. If it proves to be too harsh on the tranny, such limits are good to know. Much like some never wanted to reduce the SC pulley 19% or beyond, those who did so pushed the blower's limits allowing us all to learn from such experiences...
Greg, I'm monitoring your progress on the bimmer boards. The respect and maturity there is refreshing. Don't PM here as I rarely log-in. Be well.

In your previous post, you state that "everyone is quivering with anticipation". There was no reference made to people anticipating, let alone everyone.
Listen, I'd love to talk to you about logic, but I think we first must address a reading and/or comprehension problem. Once that is resolved, the logic is all but evident. And if not, there is a lack of intelligence or an agenda for which logic is pointless.
As a true MINI enthusiast I want to see more and more goodies come to market for us - from any vendor. I think it is so cool to see these cars with 300, 400, 500... WHP. I've been gone from NAM for so long, and I'm very pleasantly surprised to see so many options.
The aspirations that I have for my MINI don't have me lusting after such power in a short wheel base FWD car. That said, I don't feel compelled to go poo poo those who do want to venture down that path or any other. To the contrary, I welcome it. As I said before, I applaud the efforts, and the pushing of the envelope as knowledge is gained for us all. There are many things, performance-wise, interior, exterior that I wouldn't do to my MINI. Yet, I truly like to see new and interesting stuff, including firsts like the sequential shifter. A true MINI enthusiast welcomes these additions / options, regardless of the company bringing it to market. Such development serves to stimulate other creative ideas, maybe one that will interest me. It's all good!
As a MINI enthusiast, I pull for our racers and not just onasled. I support their passion to compete and win in a MINI; and to do so in a way that will make us all proud.
This thread is about the build of a MINI race car and with that, the introduction of new and interesting parts / modifcations. I real MINI enthusiast would see just that, and embrace it, not mock it.

The board I'm referring to bimmerforum.com. I'm guessing an older crowd and with that more mature. I've noticed that generally the less expensive the car, the more immature the forum . I will say this, for a 20K car, NAM is quite civil and respectful. I just wish it were more so...
Saw PDX in your sig... One of my cases has had me working a lot in Portland the last several months, and I must say that must be one of coolest places to live. Looks like I'm heading up there again on Mon...
Greg -
My apologies. I haven't posted in so long, and now twice in two days, taking this off course even more... I expect a respsonse, but I will refrain.

Thanks for the insults. Well expected for that side of the isle. Nothing else needs to be said.
