My countryman is a 2012 S with 72,xxx miles.
I’ve been driving my countryman around for a while now and here lately it seems to be more lurchy. Because of this I decided to check the engine and noticed that this was loose and was wondering if it not being right could be the problem. Thank you all for your help.
Also does anyone here know of any good mini mechanics in central Florida?
If MiniToBe's friend isn't able to assist, here is a general directory that might be of help. No guarantees on quality of service but it's a place to start. https://www.minirepairshops.com/
So is it for sure cracked or could I just get a clamp and tighten it?
is it also okay to continue driving it or should I park it until I get it replaced? Does anyone know what the part is called?
Look on Realoem.com for part numbers and names. If it was mine, I'd buy some self sealing silicone tape (amazon, homedepot) and wrap it until I could get it fixed.
It looks like the intake tube, so it is sucking, not pressure. Basically leaking in dirty air bypassing filter and some sensors... So yes, try not to drive it like this and do the temporary fix mentioned as much as possible. Source the part per MTM advise :-).
I ordered the part thank you all for your help
is this a fix that I can do at home, I noticed some wires connected to it, or do i need to take it somewhere for them to replace it?

Its a pretty quick fix. Just loosen the band clamps at each end, pull up on the two metal clips that hold the hoses on each side, and pop off the wiring looms that are just push-fastened to the sides of the tube. Reinstall reverse.
Mine broke this weekend at 132k, same exact spot. I'll be ordering mine soon. In the meantime I just removed the bad part of the pipe and banded it to the remaining pipe.
