nobody can hear me well when using Bluetooth telephone.

When calling a friend or family member from my bluetooth incar telephone, they say it is really hard to hear me. Does anyone know how to turn up my volume? I love having handsfree and talking safely while driving but nobody can hear me?

Switch the mic position, do a search there is a DIY somewhere its real easy. Mic is on the pass side, and can be moved to the driver side.

MINI installed the hands free microphones on the PASSENGER side ? Why didn't they have it near the rear view mirror ?

The moron who designed that factory installation should be shown the door.

Sheesh and settle down. It is near the rear view mirror. And it is well designed to be mounted on either side. They just missed a step at the factory - assembled in Austria and the instructions written in English.

I think their rational was that in the US your passenger does the talking. In Britten it is on the correct side. I moved mine and it took 10 minutes. Search for the instructions and if the wire is short you may have to remove the clip. Slide the clip forward/rear to get off. That will make it go easier. If you can't get the clip back on after be sure to wrap it so you don't get one of those chirps or buzzes beacuse it is loose.

I did it! Had to go inside and un-tie the wires to make it reach but it was easy. Any Mini girls out there reading this... We can do it!

I also switched the mic from the passenger side to the driver's side. People still can't hear me.

I don't have a countryman but I have the same problem with the bluetooth mic. I have a 2011 cabrio and the mic is on the steering column so the problem isn't the mic placement. I think it's just a crappy mic. I've searched and searched for a solution and have found that a lot of people have reported the same issue but so far no one has come up with a solution.

It sucks having paid 500 bucks for something that doesn't work but I'm starting to wonder if the best solution isn't maybe to just turn off the car's bluetooth and buy a Blueant S4 or something like that.
