Did it on my 2009, and on my 2001 as well. This is by design - when the engine/coolant temp is above a defined setpoint, and you turn the car off, the fan kicks off to cool things down.

How long have you had your R50 and how long have you noticed this?

Might be a problem with your power steering fan. Have it checked at the dealer. It happened in my MCS and stopped as soon as I replaced the power steering fan. Wasn't a coolant issue at all as I first thought.

It is normal and will occur more often as the weather warms.

i hear the fan all the time on my Clubbie. My MA told me that if the fan did NOT come on, then something would be wrong. I live in South FLorida, so the fan comes on to cool the engine down . . .

This is the norm on many cars and is for cooling down the engine properly, as noted above. What would not be normal would be if the fan did not shut off after a minute or two.

Cheers,
Tad
