Hello - Looking for solution to this annoying problem:

If you select a Satellite channel from "Satellite" screen directly, you can have Artist and Title displayed (See example Bruce Springsteen/Darkness On The Ed...)

HOWEVER, if you are on a Satellite channel from your "Presets" screen, then the Artist and Title are NOT displayed!! In order to access this information (when playing a channel from your Presets) you have to go through 2 additional screens to get this information!

Does anyone have a solution?

 

I was just noticing the same thing over the weekend... don't have any constructive advice but I'm just hoping there's some setting or something we are missing. It's pretty annoying.

 

The other, somewhat annoying thing is when you are playing a channel from your Presets screen and you've gone to the trouble of paging over two screens to see the Artist and Title. Then, if you use the right button to switch to the Nav or Phone displays and then back to the Audio display, does it put you back on the Artist and Title page? No, it defaults you back to the Presets listing. You are forced to toggle over two screens every time you want to check Artist and Title.

Seems like this would be an easy software upgrade to make.

 

Adding my voice to the list of people who want a solution to this. I like to leave my display at artist/title, but channel surf and this bug gets annoying.

Hopefully MINI will fix this soon! Otherwise, i'm very happy with my sat/radio/GPS/connect

 

Yeah, this drives me nuts too because I usually listen to SAT radio and I like to see who I'm listening to and it's ANNOYING to hit the joystick right then select the info. Sure it stays on this screen for a while, but as soon as you do anything else including throw the car into reverse, you have to do it all over again...

 

Just wondering if the Software was upgraded in 2012 ?

 

On a related note, I think Zaftig is turning into either a homophobe, a snob, or both. I did a lot of running around this weekend and generally kept the radio tuned to Sirius Out Q. Everytime I made a stop and then came back to the car, he had switched over to terrestrial radio NPR. We're going to have to have a long talk.

 

Not that this helps, but, I don't have connected and with he manual radio I can set the radio to display artist & song and use the steering wheel buttons to surf. Have to start over after radio is turned off. I don't know if connected can do this.
