The countryman is finally here in the USA!

The car is at the NY/NJ VDC. I actually pass the VDC when I go to work. I hope it does not take forever at the VDC like it did at the Bremerhaven port and sat there for two weeks before it got on the vessel.

Only good thing is that my dealer is only 20 minutes away from the VDC so delivery to them should be quick.

I just got a sprint picture mail of my Countryman sitting at the Dealer (South Mini) in Atlanta, I will be on the first flight from Orlando in the morning to pick it up. Will Send pictures....

Hey inimini2007 - did you get your car yet?

 

Still at VDC, I hope I can get it end of this week maybe Friday. I am having customs stripes installed and clear bra. I am putting some little mods to the car.

Midnight Blue, are you a Philly Mini member because I am. Have not been able to go to any events but I hope to bring the countryman at the annual member meeting in 2011.

 

I'm a PM member. Our group can't wait to see my wifes car when it gets in. A few want to get a ride in it as soon as we get it. We are hoping it gets on the Manon tomorrow when it gets to port and then on its journey on Thursday. We had our Toys 4 Tots drive on Saturday and some members that hadn't seen a Countryman in person had their chance to sit in it.

 

Good news!

Not a Philly Mini member yet, but will probably join. We have 3 young kids so getting personal time for things like that is pretty tough. Joined local PCA chapter when I got my Porsche and have yet to go to an official event. But I will try!

 

The Manon is in port now. Got there a few hours ago. Hopefully your car is there too and gets loaded for this trip. I'm doubting my car will make it since it is still 182.

 

Talked to a friend who lives in the LA area - found out how to correctly pronounce "Hueneme" its Why-Ne-Me.
hmmm. . . who-da thunk?? Port WhyNeMe? Really?

 

The VDC finally released the car today and was delivered same day. I drove to the dealership to look at it. It looks awesome!!!

Hope to see you at a PhillyMINI event in 2011. While the 2010 motoring season just concluded, we do have monthly G2G's planned, and will likely be at the Philly Auto Show in in late January (not that you need to go car shopping any time soon )
