FWIW, I ran the JB+ for just under a year. I will tell you that it is a blast. Wakes up our MINI and really adds to the drivering experience. Originally this was offered with the BMS CAN Tool, which would Highjack your gauges to show Timing/Boost/AFR and even add in some flasher's for a shift light. The benefit of this besides the gauges is that it would show improvements of boost and timing factors over stock, to include the ability to delete CELs caused by normal issues and Deletion of a CAT when adding aftermarket DPs... Got it today. Just clipped it in! Will report back once I've broke it in. Quick drive around the block and seemed to be a little more responsive to the throttle but that might just be my excitement and butt dyno.

No, follow these steps
1.shut car off 2. open hood 3. shut all doors (not the hood) 4. lock car 5. wait 20 minutes for car computer to go to sleep 6. unplug factory harness and insert JB+ between factory harness and sensor 7. close hood 8. unlock car 9. start car 10 Have fun

It took about 70 miles of highway driving, but it finally kicked in. All I have to say is... Why did the cars not come this way from the factory!?
When I cruise, my MPG isn't affected, but when I put my foot down she goes like a stabbed rat! I'm not looking forward to my next regular maintenance... I don't want to take this thing off! :D

Question for you guys. I bought a used jb+ for a good price (old one, one of the first batches apprently), installed yesterday, drove around and there is a definite difference.... but today, during a long haul drive, i went to pass a car, went about 75% throttle and the engine just quit for a quarter of a second under load and it came right back, obviously it was pretty rough as the change between power-zero power-power again was a real jolt going 100+kph... no warnings\lights or anything, no lights flickered etc, then it did it 5 mins later again under the same circumstances. On our equally long return trip i tried replicating the circumstances but it didnt happen again. My question is, could this be happening because of the jb+, or am I experiencing an intermittent fuel pump failure that decided to show itself a day after the jb+ install? JB+ set to 50% running with 91 shell Vpower. EDIT: never mind, it sounds exactly like this issue: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...elerating.html Carry on. PS: loving the jb+, except for the added turbo wear as it kicks in so much earlier :P... gotta pay to play as they say.
Also, do preventive maintenance on your Mini. New filters, frequent oil changes and new colder plugs with even and correct gaping.

What plugs do you suggest as colder plugs? I recently burnt mine up, but they were replaced at the dealer under warranty (36,000 miles), however I kinda figured I need to have colder ones put in after doing some poking around here. For now, I let them go ahead and do it. It happened after a lot of long hard 70-100mph pulls for passing when I was on road trip through the nevada desert in the summer.
