Bah! USPS got my hopes up! Since order they have shown estimated delivery date as of today. Last night it showed it being in ABQ. Well it departed the sort facility at like 4 am and was given to the post office at 9:54 and now wont be delivered until tomorrow.

I was planing to drive around tomorrow and do a bunch of stuff to help put the miles on the car with the JB+ on but guess now that will not be the case. USPS likes to deliver around 4:30pm at my house too.

How does it compare to a factory JCW Countryman?

during the initial break in period...
...is it ok to use sport or no ?
...is it ok to use with a sprint booster or should it be disabled ?

after break in...
...can it be used with a sprint booster ?

Actually sport mode will tell you when the car is warmed up by popping and gurgling. Then you can take the revs a little higher if you so desire

My new Clubman S will be here this week... can I put the BMS tune on it right away,or should I break it in first?

It won't hurt to put it on now, but you won't get a lot of use out of it if you're keeping the RPMs low for the break-in period.

I think once the car is warmed up you can explore higher rpms even during the break in period. Seat them rings!

3 Happy Minis

Highly recommend the BMS! My wife and I purchased 2 Minis in November. My wife liked the Countryman S and I went for the Sportier Paceman S. Both cars now have the BMS tune on them. We were so happy with the tune, that My brother picked one up for his Mini Roadster (early 2013). After I broke in my Paceman S, I took it to NM. They installed the rear sway bar, NM exhaust, NM intake, Bilstein shocks, springs, torch arm inserts and control arms. They tried to do the ECU upgrade but apparently the newer 2013 cars have a different ECU (Botch vs. Seimens?) so they couldn't (yet). I was a little disappointed that I could not upgrade the ECU so looking around and ran into this BMS post. long story short, I love the cars! I recently started running the Paceman on 25% E85 and I'm playing around with the BMS settings. With the way the car is configured it runs great and love the additional power and torque. My wife's car only has a cold air intake and she is also very happy with her car. My brother had NM do all available upgrades including his ECU, after installing the BMS on his car, he noticed additional low end power and torque. So all the way around we have 3 happy cars on the JB! Hope this helps for all the new folks thinking about installing this tune.

Thanks Terry!

You'd be a fortune teller. The product hadn't been released six months ago.

Might be the weather. When I put it on in summertime it immediately upped the boost and power.

I have been using the BMS JB + tune for a couple of weeks now it works great. I can really feel the extra pull in the mid range. I also have the Sprinter Booster as well. JB with the Sprint Booster and Sport Mode really make the All4 much more fun to drive. The JB puts the All4 very close to the factory All4 JCW for alot less. The factory All4 JCW is not that impressive considering the $40K + price tag.

Ok, please no flames.....not really a car engine guy per say!

I found some E85 gas here in the Chicago area.
Other wise I have access to 92/92 at all times.
Would the JB+ be any use IF I only ran the 92/93?
And lastly, would there be any positive use for me using the E85 - 92/93 mix WITHOUT the JB+ ?

Thanks Guys.

Oh.......2014 R55 fJCW A/T no mods!

Thanks
Maybe I should have asked better questions
Not sure what the effects are good or bad
Good to know yes and no, but to what point and with what possible effects
Didn't know the MINI was flex fuel compat
Just looking for help outside the yes/no answer

Thanks

The JB+ was designed to be run on 92 octane and give you 20hp/30tq increase. If you run higher/lower octane it can be adjusted to compensate via an internal dial. Since you have a JCW it is recommended you turn the dial down one position if running 92 octane street gas

The mini is not flex fuel; you cannot put 100% E85 in it. You'd only be running a 20% E85 mixture with regular E10 92 octane at most or else the car will run out of fuel trim. You would then, at your own risk/discretion and while carefully monitoring A/F and timing, turn up the dial to get gains beyond the standard 20hp/30tq.
