Question 2015 Cooper S Roadster - Cigarette Lighter Issue

So, I got my roadster on December 12 and just noticed yesterday that the center console cigarette lighter (in front of the shifter) doesn't work.

There are 3 fuse panel positions for the lighters: F3, F7, and F43.

F3 is apparently for the lighter in the trunk and it works flawlessly.

Neither F7 nor F43 have fuses in them and neither of these have actual connectors in the fuse box, so putting a fuse in those positions makes any difference.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Hmm - that's odd. Ours works fine. I'm at work, and can't look at the fuse panel, but it sounds like a dealer service issue!

No problems here. That 12v source is my favorite place to tap because it's so easy to access. Both my gauges and my LED DRLs get their 12v signal from there.

I sent an email to my MA about it. Guess I'll have to follow up with a call.

I did a bunch more research on this (I really wish there was somewhere on the internet that explained what all the hieroglyphics on the fuse panel diagram mean) and it looks like fuse F3, F7, and F43 are actually "Trailer Modules". That explains why there are no connectors there.

The fuse I actually need to check is F44, so I'll brush the snow off my cover tonight and see if F44 is burnt or not seated properly. I did mess around with a few fuses when I was trying to install the Add-A-Circuit, so I might have jiggled it out of place.

Wish me luck!

It's that courtesy light people use to turn on to get distracted in finding their fallen cigarette while driving. Now it's all been replaced by smart phones

It's that stupid blanking plug that they put in the 12V socket that gets in the way of my charger and then just rattles around in the glovebox until you spend ten minutes finding it when sell your car!

The sooner they delete the lighter socket and put three high current USB sockets in that space the better.

I just got a used 2011 and both rear or front don't work. It like a mystery to find the damn fuse. I'm going to check on my car F44 and see what it looks like. What amp is the fuse in F44?

It's a 20amp, a large one. I've blow it a few times with bad custom wiring.
It's one of the ones closer to the door, on the right hand side of the fuse box. I think there is a gap of unused fuse right above that.
