snow storm colorado

To all Colorado members:
do you plan to drive your roadster in the coming snow storm? I heard we might get up to 14". If you already have driven in bigger snow storms please give your impression of the roadster in the snow.

Yup, it is our DD. It does really well - better than most SUVs. We do have dedicated snow tires on a second set of rims. Totally safe. It just does its thing!

this is great to know, i've always been afraid because Mini's are such small cars. I will try to get to the dealership tomorrow and test drive one in the snow if at all possible.

Something that may help you judge for yourself. A little video shot this winter by the guys at MINI of Des Moines...

The Abster did great today. Not that much snow, but they didn't plow much either. The only issue at all was downtown where the streets are just a complete sheet of ice. The problem wasn't Abby, it was a truck stuck on the hill and one of those box things that just couldn't get a footing. Once I zoomed around them I was golden.

Now, she is a complete dirt ball! Tonight I'll clean the mag-cloride off all the chrome so it doesn't stain.

More snow for the day. Always a joy...

Thanks Franny! yea there wasn't much snow today, but I'm going down to ralph schomps later to drive a roadster in the snow to better judge myself. I consider myself a pretty good driver in the snow. (been doing it all my life living in CO)

Some pretty packed snow. All we get is icy roads with a slush layer on top. I couldn't use the main entrance of our neighborhood because you have to turn out onto a up-hill battle. not even a steep one, it was just too slick with the ice/slush combo.
