I have the auto climate control and do not get air moving through the vents when recirc is deselected and the fan is off. In previous cars, I'd let outside air come in while driving instead of using the fan. Anyone else notice this?

 

I happened to notice this yesterday on my coupe. no air at all comes out of the vents unless i turn the fan on.

btw, I do not have the auto climate system

Have been. Still like outside air through the vents, especially in winter. Don't need to use the fan for heat.

 

I totally agree...I was just making an attempt at humor!

 

Looks like you will have to use the fan whether you need it or not... Turn A/C off, turn recirc off, turn windshield defrost off, set temp to minimum and crank the fan to taste.

I agree that this does suck, but it's probably easier for you with the manual controls than it is with the auto A/C. I'll see what the setup would be for me on the way home tonight.
