R59 Black Toffee
Steven, could you forward a picture of your exhaust system under your car for me to see if it looks like mine? Boy there's a lot of business there. Finally took a look at the underneath of my guy. Boy, lots of braces and stuff. Scares the heck out if me.
Check post # 314/page 13 of my thread for several photos of the Akrapovic installed.

Steven, here's a shot of Lil Raggi this morning, May 03, 2013. Iowa Roadster weather, or some thing like that.
On another note, I received the Hotchkiss rear sway bar this week. Very nice, packaged great, and no damage. I'll be getting this on next week and see if it helps with my problem.
Lets hope that, finally this will be our last snow. Suppose to be 75 degrees next week. Top down weather again.

Now that I've joined the ranks of R59s sporting the GP2 Rear Diffuser I'm even more keen on your previously stated interest in investigating the adaptability of the underbody panels under the floor boards. If they're compatible with the Roadster bracing they will be very high on my list of next mods.

Yes a couple people were talking about this as well as buetoy based on what I came up with. Have seen them yet with the R58 underbody panels on the R59. Did you get those pics up yet bluetoy ?
Without panels:

** Sorry just saw your post at the same time above.
Cool to see you get it finished

More Carbon...
I've been weighing whether the amount of chrome on the Roadster was where I wanted it. I don't want to go completely black, looking for just the right amount of visual "pop" with the chrome. A while back, I had the Mini at the dealer and my tech who is a friend suggested I change the chrome mirrors out for carbon fiber. His thinking was to continue the carbon fiber theme I'm working with both on the interior and exterior. I think he was right...

Just got the Lil Raggi back with the new sway bar installed and still drives nice. We'll give it a workout this weekend at a Mini Club function with the KC bunch in northern Missouri. Should be fun.

Upgraded Steering Wheel
I made some more upgrades on the interior, working on what I feel is a good balance of materials...in this case the materials being carbon fiber and Napa leather. This latest addition is in fact the interface we are in contact with the most while driving. For anyone considering upgrading a steering wheel, this type of mod really affects one's perception of the driving experience. The wheel is sourced from Nexon Motors. The wheels are hand made starting with a stock Mini steering wheel. I had it built to my specs., Napa, red stitching to pick up the JCW theme, red 12 o'clock ring. Here's a look...
The wheel comes supplied with a carbon fiber middle trim piece...

I added the JCW trim piece off the new GP2...

Here's the two wheels side by side...

And finally some installed pics...the quality and detail is amazing, and feels incredible in the hand...

Steven,
I got my John Cooper signature on the dash in red this week. The trick inkling it all stick is to let it set. For a couple of days, preferably on the heat, which isn't much of a problem right now. I'll send a picture later tonight.
