Steven,
I really like what you've done with your roadster
I which I could lower ours but it's not a good idea for my wife around here, especially in the winter. She's the primary driver...
Perhaps with our next MINI

Thanks for the compliment. I understand where you are coming from with regards to stock ride height versus lowering. I think you should consider the NM Alpha springs for your Mini. I've run them for a little over a year now and they work great in the real world situations of Chicago roads...I suspect much like the condition of the Pa. roads. The springs are not expensive and will change the character of your Roadster. Run them with the stock bump stops, uncut, and maybe change out the rear sway bar while you have it on the lift. I feel it's a win/win with better handling and vastly improved stance.

I appreciate the thoughts. I think we'll go through a first winter and I'll get a better idea how it goes. Unlike Chicago (if I'm not mistaken) the whole Pittsburgh area is filled with hills all over the place. That results in a little bit more complication with snow.
That said, my other car is lowered and I've done a lot of work on it my self squeezed under less than 2 feet to work with. So I know the drill

More details...
Ok, so I've done the headlight rings and side scuttles in the Anthracite color and I'm liking where this is going. Over the weekend I pulled the air intakes from the lower grill as well as the taillight trim rings and shot them in the Anthracite...

I like the effect, giving the lower intake the look of metal, highlighting a part of the JCW that always looked very aggressive.
Here are the taillight rings...

I'm still on the fence about these...did the black rings just feel better integrated? I'll live with it for a while and see if it grows on me

Steven.
Looks great, as usual for you. I'm thinking about doing Dom carbon fibre on some areas, like the boot handle, which I have left from my previous car. Maybe do some matching gray line you have done. It'd be interesting to see how that works with Pepper White.

Yea, I think its would go with the theme, once you have the rear taillight trims either black ( factory ) or gray (painted mod )it does give the appearance that the rear lights are a little tinted with the factory lens. I noticed that when I first put the black line trims on.
We have the kit here, but I believe they never made the lower JCW aero bumper lights in the black line to match , just the LCI+ cooper S lower lights.
It has the rear taillights black line , black line taillight trims, and black line side turn signals. JCW Aero kit.

I know you have the side lights / taillight trims in gray/ anthracite, but might be helpful for others who want he other options. We have it just as this kit now.
BTW , its looking great

The chrome roll bars are too noticeable. If doable, what is the best way to "blacken" roll bars to a permanent matte black finish. I am not handy either, so where can I get such modifications done?
Note: I became a lawyer because I have absolutely no other marketable talents.

Here is some really bad pictures of the Blackline tails I just took. Sorry I can't even close my trunk because I'm in the middle of an Intergral Audio soundstage and sub install and I have no battery and my interior is gutted.
