Agreed not the same MINI feeling at all.
There's a saddle for every cowboy. Some like the Countryman/Paceman ride, others like the feeling of a Roadster. We all know where we stand .... or sit. The Roadster does it for me!
Mr. T: I've had my Roadster since October 7th and I only have 878 miles on the odometer. Maybe, just maybe, I'll hit my break-in mileage target of 1200 miles by March.

Wow! I got mine towards the end of one week, and it was broken in by Tuesday of the next! I don't know how you manage to ration your driving so much, you must have extreme willpower!
Here's one I just took tonight. It's actually 2. One 10 minute exposure, and one 18 minute exposure. I bumper the shutter button on the remote, so I just stacked the 2 pictures for the same result as a 28 minute exposure.

There is no sun reflection. This was taking about 2 hours after sunset right before moon rise. The light sources in the right and left of the screen are from towns. The one in the left is a town 15 miles NW of here, and the one to the right is a much larger town about 30 - 40 miles to the NE. The reflection in the cars side panel is from Minot AFB lights 20 miles south. The red dot on the drivers door is the reflection of the red light from the remote receiver mounted to the top of the camera(this is also what it causing the reflectors to reflect).
When looking with the naked eye these light sources barely look like anything other than a distant light and the sky is very dark with no moon or sun with most of the illumination coming from the stars themselves. On a long exposure like this every bit of light keeps adding up to get brighter and brighter.
The center of the spinning stars is over Geomagnetic north pole. This being said the side of the car facing us is also facing south and therefore could not be the sun or moon.
The things you can do with a DSLR are amazing... I've had mine for about 2 months and am testing out as many possibilities as I get the opportunity to do so.

Oh lol, I feel so silly . . . of course there's no sun... it's night.
With such long exposure it looks like sun light
Yeah, SLRs are great. I've used one for some years now. I need a much better one though...

That looks pretty clean compared to mine, spiney. The temperatures have been well below freezing and obviously too cold to wash. Hopefully this weekend.
I wasn't sure what you guys would think about the animated GIF. If enough of you don't like it I'll switch it for a static shot or two. It does capture the horror pretty well though...

That dirt is barely starting to mature . . .
At least you seem to have less salt than we have...
. . . and I don't mind the gif but at that speed it hurts my eyes... I'd say slow it dow or do static

I figured spiney did that purposefully...it helps camouflage the road salt.
Update on my mileage: 1027 miles since delivery on October 7th. We haven't made any long distance trips, so I largely have commuting miles to the Metro station. Every mile is sure pleasure.
The pictures in this thread are amazing. Keep them coming!
