no idea what the build week is. no idea if there is a delay or just my dumb luck.

i opened owners lounge acct. and spoke twice with "ask mini" they refered me back to advisor, emailed him today.

 

Most likely you are waiting for production to start.

I had a production number and it took almost 2 weeks for mine to show up with an altered JCW Roadster vehicle in the Owners lounge. Then 1 week later it showed up with a VIN # and was in production.

So for the Roadsters it appears as if the info doesn't even update until it actually goes into production.

I believe extended storage is the cargo nets in the boot and map net in the passenger foot well. Interior light package is the mood lighting as spiney said. Neither of these options are standard on any model in the UK.

 

It's a less then perfect system, ( but so am I ). The automated system still said, no production date. I spoke to a person at ASKMINI. They say I am in the body shop already

 

Interesting. I'd love to know the rational for some of these differences between countries. Doesn't appear to be related to regulations between different countries. Seems like it just makes things more complicated for MINI...

You're not alone.....Placed a deposit on my JCW Roadster on Feb 25, got a production number on March 8 and that's still my position (per OL and ASK MINI). I'm hoping he's already going through the "birth" canal, but no one seems to know. This is the 4th MINI I have tracked (and the slowest). Oh well, I'll just wait for the phone call saying he's here!

I put a deposit down on the 21st and was given a "week 3 of March" start date, but it went in quicker, and mine's been on a boat for 3 days now on its way here. So it was actually quicker for me.....ETA in Baltimore is the 30-31st.

 

It is easier to track a UPS package than to track a MINI once it is in port. Just silly.

Just dropped our deposit last night. Was told figure 8 to 9 weeks. They were going to modify one of the dealer cars already on order so that should trim off some time. Have a production number but was told it would take aout 4 business days for the dealer car to show my specs.

I picked up my Lightning Blue Roadster yesterday.......with Recaro seats and was told that the Recaro seats are no longer available. Anyone else hear this?

 

I just saw a post about it in the Coupe section. You might be one of the lucky ones that got them.

We talked yesterday, they told me they were waiting to hear from Mini what the delay was. This sort of thing could certainly do it

I wouldn't be surprised if you call ask mini this Sunday and find out that your JCW started production. That's the way it happened for mine.

I would like to know if the Recaro seat rumor is true and if it is then what exactly is the issue. Mine is already built and on a boat with recaros and I hope there isn't some problem with them already.
