I put money down on Feb. 27. I'm still waiting for a production slot Dealer thinks that perhaps it is being held up, waiting for a few more JCW's, who knows.
This is the build.

Nice choice!
It will be interesting to see how many others trade in the mid 2000 cabriolets for the new roadster.

Yes it will. I know I will be leaving my Cabrio for the new Roadster, which I have really enjoyed. I suspect Mini will see a lot of this.

For me, the Roadster makes a lot of sense. I never found the rear seats of the Cabrio very practical, trunk even more so. The new packaging of the Roadster, coupled with the way it looks...done deal I'm trading in the rear seats for a usable trunk, gaining a much more solid driving platform

Not to mention that you will look a lot meaner driving a Roadster than a Cabrio.

LOL...definitely right about that! I spent a lot of money making my Cabrio look less cute...man I hated it when people said "what a cute car"

This is what I love about MINIs. This car is very like the one I ordered, but it's not exactly the same. Every one is subtly different. It's great!

I went back and forth for a while but finally settled on the Lightning, mainly because the dealer had a coupe in that colour, I was happy with how it looked, and I didn't want to risk not being happy with Reef when it finally arrived.

David, congratulations on your order!

Very close in looks to my car. Kudos on your excellent taste!

I'm curious about a couple features that don't seem to be offered in the states (or if they are, it's by a different name).

Extended Storage
Extended Interior Light Package

Don

I think extended storage is probably the compartment in the dash above the glovebox, and the interior light package is the colour-adjustable lights. I think both are standard on at least S's for the US.

Go figure guess thats the whole You-if-i-cation.
funny my fiance thought i was nuts picking the reef blue. i just couldn't picture me driving it in any other colour. was willing to give up some of the options to keep within my budget but wasn't giving up the blue.
