“Amber” Turn Signals in Rear Light Units ???

So I really dislike RED rear turn signal indicators and was wondering if the European model R58’s had Amber Lens rear turn Signals ??? I am assuming yes and hoping to buy them for a retrofit …. Anyone have a link or Company I can purchase from ??? Any info is much appreciated .. Thanks !

I believe this is your car?

Looks to me like the "Blackline" tail lights allow for use of an amber rear bulb:

Or, you could jump on this bandwagon:

If it was me, I would go for the Blackline tail lights...

I think the biggest difference with the Euro lights is the integrated reversing lamps. So those would require some wiring updates to fully integrate to a USDM Coupe.

ahhhh .. ok .. I see now that the back up lights in a US R 58 are in the rear bumper and not Tailight unit ….

Blackline kit can be found someplace for a great price these days...

I have it and run the LasFit LED amber turn bulbs in there.... they are a true 28w bulb and really noticeable on our small cars to let people know we are changing lanes.
I have these and the GTR versions... these seem to be the same for a lot less money... plug and play on my R56.... DANG bright and noticeable amber bulbs that don't cause bulb faults.

One thing, from experience, on the blackline lights... the turn LENS on this housing is CLEAR... if you want the AMBER appearance when not illuminated ... you have to go with regular amber bulbs... I recommend the slightly brighter 1156A-LL BILBS... they give an Amber cast to the reflector in the housing when NOT lit .... LED bulbs won’t do that for you

my 2¢

cheers

Just a heads up, we got that last stock of these, once they sell out they are NLA, all the other R56-R59 blackline kits are nla already.

Many countries only allow amber turn signals. My facelift R53 sports a pair of amber British rear lamps, courtesy of eBay. Direct fit. Other models may be a little different. The wiring loom may be common, with options for various countries. Or, it may not... Ask the seller for wiring loom tails and make it work if necessary...
