What color are the rear turn signals?

We are going to be buying a US spec CM then we will be moving to Europe this summer. The car will be required to have yellow rear turn signals. I noticed the tail lights for the Euro spec CMs look different so I am wondering if the US spec CM has yellow turn signals for the rear. Can someone let me know what the color they are?

Thanks in advance!

Thanks for replying. Looks like I will have to get the Euro tail light lenses when I get to Italy. Maybe I will be able to get the OEM rear fog light added at the same time.

Make sure you also remove the rear view mirror when you get there.

Because my friend, the first rule of Italian driving is "What's-a behind me is not important."

I live in Germany and have U.S. spec cars. I did not have to change anything. Are you being stationed there?

We're being stationed in Vicenza and I am currently working with Pentagon Mini Sales to have our CM there when we arrive. When it comes to the tail lights each country is different. When I was stationed in the UK you had to have amber rear turn signals and a rear fog light. Those of us on orders were not granted a waiver. When I was in K-Town it wasn't an issue and apparently it isn't going to be an issue in Italy either. I have to admit I would rather have the rear fog and amber indicators. I think I will look into what it will take to get it done!

I just had mine worked on in England; mine is US spec but requires amber turn signals and a rear fog light. The replacement rear lenses were about $200 and were plug-n-play (installed them myself), but good luck on the rear fog light. I bought the replacement switch module including the rear FL button, but they were not able to program the computer to recognize the switch. In the end they simply ran a wire from the front lights to the back, so that the same switch turns both on. They also needed to run some additional wiring so they didn't mess with the resistance/dim lights/false bulb indicators, so be careful. Just wanted to pass that on, since mine was in the shop for three days while BMW/Mini service tried to figure out what to do! Good luck!

Thanks for the information. I admit that I am disappointed that I won't be able to get the factory rear fog to operate through the factory switch.

Hi, I just bought a CMS thru BMW/MINI sales in Mildenhall. Still waiting on for it to arrive, but they did offer me the option to have the light converted by BMW in Germany. I got a email from them yesterday comfirming that it was finally completed. It was a little difficult to convert a US to UK spec light scheme due the the coding you mentioned since my car was the first one that procedure has been done there. They had to contact the BMW factory to get the right coding to get the foglight to work. Are you stationed RAF Lakenheath or RAF Mildenhall by chance?

Maybe my rambling didn't come across properly (or maybe I just don't understand your reply!), but they were able to get the rear fog light to work, but it is wired to the same switch as the front fogs. Hit the button for the front, and the rear lights up too. Had I known what I know now I would have just wired up an aftermarket light and wired the stinking thing to the battery, old-school-like. I about had a heart attack when they showed me the bill for the conversion!
