JCW Exterior Bodyparts

Hello!

I’ve just pulled the plug on a 2013 R58 Cooper S today.. Shes a manual with around 44k kms. This car will be a project car with big Long term plans as I won’t be using it for a daily driver.

I would like to find out if the R56 and R58 front and rear
bumpers are identical.

I would like to have this Cooper S look like the JCW. From initial looks, it’s the front bumper, rear bumper & diffuser and sideskirts? What other items differ cosmetically from the Cooper S to the JCW on the R58?

Is there also an independent parts shop that can order these items in and ship them to Australia so I don’t have to order them at bmw/mini which will cost a bomb..

Thank you in advance for all your inputs! I would like very much to share my build journey on this site here.

I have owned a R58 JCW steptronic before and have never forgotten the car once it left me. Looking forward to starting the journey again and more!

Hello and congrats.

We can ship down under 3/2012+ R56 is the same as the factory JCW R58. They changed the design of the front bumper a little with the bottom. I heard the Aero II kit works fine also.

R58 JCW owner and past R56 MCS owner here.

Aero II Kit works perfectly. Did the same thing to my 13 S R58 when I had it. Add in the GP2 diffuser and it looks stellar.

I have typed a message before this but it seems to have disappeared when I attached a picture!

A big thanks for all the quick responses! Appreciate it very much.

@ECSTuning could I please get an email address or some contact details? Thanks!

This is my former JCW when I lived in Malaysia! 2013 with Steptronic.

This is the one I’ve just committed to here in Kangarooland. Expect to pick her up in a couple of days..

Basically id like to get the new one looking like the old one.. 😁

the parts i would need to swap would seem to be

front bumper
rear bumper
diffuser
side skirts

please correct me if I’m wrong

Much thanks for the quick response once again! Getting very excited for this new journey.. (or old journey again?) haha

The front and rear black trim diffusers are different from the S. To complete the look, you will also need to replace the side scuttles with either the standard chrome JCW or the OEM optional mesh grille ones.

Thanks for the responses! I had typed 2 messages prior to this but it seems to not have been posted..

my previous 2013 JCW Steptronic when I was living in Malaysia!

I would basically want to get the new one looking like the old one.. I am still very much taken by the looks of the JCW..

seems i I would need to replace

front bumper
rear bumper and GP diffuser
side skirts

would that make the complete set?

@ECSTuning could I get an email so we can start the dialogue on these parts?

thanks again and I look forward to sharing my build as it progresses! Think forged pistons, rods, new cams!

It seems my posts needed to be approved by a moderator as I attached photos perhaps?

Nonetheless the good folks at ECS have emailed me and I look forward to moving this project!

Thanks again for all the responses!

i will post back with the photos and progress once I start kicking with it. I see the workshop tomorrow for the mechanical side of things
