I assume you are referring to the looks of the two cars. While I like the appearance of the F56 I still prefer the look of the R58. It's also a terrific car to drive.....was wondering if anyone with an S coupe has test driven an F56 and can compare performance.

I actually saw a F56 on the freeway the other day.

The taillights are honestly too big. It was a red S and the taillights still stood out, can't imagine how massive they'd look on a darker car.

I'm certain the car is improved in every way ...that's progression for you.

But just knowing these will most likely stop being made makes them that much more appealing.

So far, I was able to drive the base coupe w/automatic, base F56 w/manual, and S F56 w/automatic.

Could not get a fair comparison, because the S coupe was not in stock.

Also, they did not have a base F56 w/automatic to drive.

Now I have driven the base coupe w/automatic and the base F56 w/automatic.

The torque of the base F56 is way more fun than the base coupe's lack of low end torque!

Still waiting to drive the S coupe

Answered my own question today....tested F56 MC and MCS manuals. Between them I'd choose the MC....liked the sound and temperament of the engine better,
especially in 1st gear. Plenty of power for around & about driving. I was very surprised by this preference.
That being said I LOVE my coupe and prefer it to either one of the new models. My lease is up Oct. 3 and tomorrow I will be ordering a 2014 white silver S while upgrading to some technology that I don't have now. They'll let me out of the current lease when it arrives. At the same time I'll be replacing the run-flats with Continental True Contact all-season 215/45/17 tires. Looking forward to more years of smooth sailing & great fun!
