JCW Brakes = HOLY $%#^

I go through new "sporty" cars every couple years, most recently coming from a 370z Sport, but I have to say, without a doubt, that the brakes on this little Bee are just amazing!! Really!! While doing some initial "track" sessions in some private PA cornfield twisties, I could not believe how this thing stops from full speed. Heading into a turn at 80+ and just romping on the brake with my left foot....not once did I feel any antilock engagement, nor any signs of fade, never once pushing into a corner.....it just stood the nose on end and HAULTED! Heck, I would end up stopping short of any turn-in points, but I wasn't pushing any harder than I was. My head was actually a bit dizzy with the G force I must have been pulling. This on the stock run flat Dunlops in 50 degree weather. AMAZING is all I can say. I knew they were good, but that was the first time I really bedded them pads. When I came to public roads again, after about 10 mins of spirited testing, I immediately started clapping and telling myself that alone was worth the price of admission. I then notice the smoke coming from the fronts from what must have been glowing red calibers, but never once was there EVER ANY HINT of fade. HOLY CHIT!!

For the record, past 15 years:
09 370Z Sport
04 BMW 330i ZHP
95 325is
06 Civic SI
03 MCS
98 Integra Type R
93 Miata

Totally agree...I recently test drove the JCW coupe, and remarked to the MA that I would buy the JCW for the brakes, they're fantastic...and the sound

I've put myself through the windshield a few times by accident with these brakes, had someone blow the horn at me one time too.

Whoops, sorry!

I've never driven one (my day will come lol), but almost every comment I've read is just like this: the brakes are the most impressive difference between the JCW and the MCS.

They are fantastic and I can't wait to make better use of them when I switch over to performance summer tires for the first time (Hankook V12s mounted today and waiting to be installed soon - I hope - If this mild winter continues and gives us an early spring).

I have a pallet full of JCW Bremo Sports Brake Kit ready to bolt on my 2006 R53, can hardly wait for spring!

VERY glad to hear this as the brakes were the weak spot on my 02 MCS, even with ATE Blue fluid and track pads. I haven't pushed the coupe yet, but do plan to get it on track this year.
