R58 MINI Coupe Roll Call
I won't be able to do a full car wash (that involves a hose etc) says the development where I live, but I would like to get a bottle of something and some microfiber cloths (or whatever's best) to keep up with the birds that seem to love the Coupe styling. There are a lot of products out there, anything that you guys would suggest more than others? Tips, tricks, etc?
The development should either a) not have so many bird-loving trees or b) allow washes.

Neat timing--it's just in time for my first "real" run tomorrow (Crack Pie with C3M)

I went on DCMM's MTTB last weekend, but they said that was a parade more than a run, 55-60mph, for fundraising and being seen. Tomorrow I will definitely be pushing the sport button. Not that I'd EVER, ever speed.
Sound like you are enjoying your Coupe tons, Er.
As far as keeping it clean when you are unable to wash at your home.... car washes are OK as long as they are touch-free. Problem is, if the car is very dirty at all, they won't get it completely clean.
What I have done on occasion, mostly in the winter when washing at home isn't practical, is use a self-washing bay very early in the morning when nobody will car if I bring my bucket and supplies, and hand wash it there. Just don't get the high pressure wand too close... it can strip you wax off.
And once you have it really clean, you can maintain that with daily quick-details. Use the best microfiber towels you can find and a guick detail sorry.... I pfefer Speed Shine from Griot's Garage. But don't quick detail if you'be driven it in the rain since the last wash.... too much road grime on the car and quick detailing then will cause micro-sratchind, swirls, and imperfections in the paint.

Oh yeah... also... carry a small bottle of quick detail spray and a microfiber towel in the Coupe. You never know when a bird will bomb it and nothingin nature Mars paint like bird crap. Especially if the sun bakes it dry. Get it off ASAP.
Me!
Thank you, JamesDay24! We are very pleased to be on the roll call. :-) Is it possible to create a Lightning Blue bar with black stripes, and black roof with blue stripes, for the spreadsheet? Seems like at least three people have this color combo, but how do we add the color bars to the spreadsheet? (which is a great idea, btw!)

Once you have your colors in, if you have stripes just type "II" in the fields and then use the icon for text alignment to choose "Center" on both fields. You should see what you desired to do at that point.
The colors aren't exact so you'll have to pick the ones that most closely match your car choices.
Joanie, there are two little icons along the top (like in Excel) that let you change the color of the font and the background of the cell you've chosen.

You fill it in yourself, and it saves after you do it, so you don't have to hit a save button or anything.
Hi Everybody, I'm not even in the same country but I've been admiring all the coupes and I thought I would put up a shot I took last week the day after we took delivery of our 2012 cooper SD. I'm loving it, we specced the recaro heated seats too : )

I'm going to go out on a limb and assume that everyone here is happy to see more Coupe ****, from any country whatsoever. I'd like to take the 3 million dollar guess: white silver, not pepper...correct?

It was taken in the new forest in Hampshire, the horses run wild in the whole area, it is breathtakingly beautiful round there. Talking with my other half's mum they are called New forest ponies, very similar breed I think.
They are all related, but New Forest ponies are rare. A lot of them were eaten during the Wars. Now they are protected. :-) thank you for sharing.
Looking at your Cab Blue, It has been the only one I've seen so far that genuinely made me question whether I should've gone for one instead of the coupe, I love the little touches you've put on it. It is a very badass looking machine indeed. Have you put spacers on the wheels? and if so what size did you go for? its the only other aspect I'm considering modding for now.

Thanks for the advice Steven, I was either going to go for 12 or 10mm spacers, I've never put them on before, is there anything in particular other than obviously getting the right length bolts and correct stud pattern that I need to look out for?
Its a shame you guys are not nearby I'd love to get yours and some more coupes/roadsters together to do a colourful multicar night shot.

I was going to break it in for you.... few hundred miles a day.
