A few coats will do the trick. I wash and wax the car like normal, no special treatment. Just don't wax or clay the plastidip...it'll peel right off haha.

One thing about it....when you dry the car the plasti looks a bit white-ish from the soap....a little bit of black wow that's used for the wheel arches will make it look nice and black again. Or any similar product.

I'll post pics of the pieces I did when I get the chance today.
Nicely done...great look, love the car

and thanks for the pics

This is the first MINI where I actually paid extra for the wheels, but with the white silver/black combo I really felt it was worth it. They don't disappoint

I bet! I would only get them at this point if some one trades me for the Black conicals I currently have.

For the price those go for you could get some light weight wheels.....but if they were on the car new, I'd never get rid of those lol.

Add us to the list Of MC Coupes

Just picked up the wifes MC coupe and she's realy excited about it. It's Chilie Red with black roof and stripes with black spoked wheels.
Noticed it didn't have a rear window rain wipper on it.
Are all coupes without a rear wipper?
Is there a Mini Cooper maintenance log book you can purchase to keep your maintenance records in?
Anyway, glad to be onboard with all the other Mini owners out there.

First off Welcome !!!

As far as the wiper goes; there's barely a window to wipe plus the 'baseball cap' roof keeps it pretty well protected. So, no there never was a wiper

Aside from the wheels, our three appear virtually identical.

2014 models are out already? Wow!

You think you love it? Just wait until you see how many people come up to you and tell you how much they love it too! (And ask if the top comes off...)

Be sure to join the Facebook Group, MINI Coupe owners!

I KNOW I love it. It was love at first sight, really. My favorite way to drive has been putting the GPS on "most direct route" on a long drive. It has taken me places I never knew existed, but where all the windiest, twistiest roads are.

I get compliments all the time. I can't pump gas or hit a drive-through without someone giving the thumbs up. I'm getting to the point where I open with, "It's not a convertible0." Er - cabriolet, in England speak.

Purchased my coupe a few months ago. Been looking at them since they were released. The exact car I had built 100s of times online was sitting at the dealership one day while driving by! 3 weeks after buying someone made a turn in from of me while I was going 35mph. And they had no insurance! $11k of repairs and 45 days in the shop and I'm rolling again. Nicknamed the car "Pops" for all the noise it makes in Sport mode.

Picked up my MCS Coupe last month. Traded in my 2005 MC. Huge difference. I can't wait to get through the break-in period and then see what it can do. Name: 2013-09-24152352.jpg

The break-in period IS when you see what it can do...you don't need to 'baby' the car when it first arrives.

That's so old school and unnecessary.
Just drive it like you stole it
Well, except I'd pull over for those flashing red lights in your rear view mirror
Oh and make your first oil change before 5K and at least every 5K thereafter

Add me to the Roll Call:

I just bought my first Mini Cooper, a used Midnight Black/Black 2012 Coupe S with 9,000 miles and a lot of upgrades, JCW Tuning Kit (now Dual Stage Renntech), JCW Suspension, JCW AirBox, JCW Exhaust and Aero Kit. Alacantra Steering Wheel and Shift ****. Leather Dash, Armrest and door rests. Harmon Kardon System, Cold Package, Black Bi Xenon Headlights. Carbon Fiber Mirror Caps and Steering wheel covers.

I added the JCW Black Wheels and JCW Red Brake Kit and JCW Strut Brace. Looking forward to meeting other Mini Owners in the Area and learning from this Forum. Next on the list is an Intercooler and Downpipe.
