a little nervous because I haven't seen this color IRL, but dealer had a cosmic blue Countryman that I loved, so I pulled the trigger
I've always had black cars, so making that subtle change to dark blue, I hope he's a looker

Ordered Friday 6th of April
Mini Owner's Lounge finally found my car Sunday morning.
On order and waiting for it to be scheduled for production.. stage
2012 Mini Cooper John Cooper Works Coupe

Couldnt get anything off the car (first time ever this happened hahaha).
The guy told me they are supposedly using their only JCW slot so no discount. He said he was willing to maybe take something off if I picked something off the lot but since I was building and ordering, no discount.
Kinda sounded weird but accepted and didn't argue.
Thought about maybe going to another dealer to build one couple miles away and maybe haggle a price.
Maybe I'll do that.
Sales guy told me even though I built and ordered specific car, I don't have to buy it if something happens. And $500 downpayment was fully refundable.
My current lease on a car still has 3 payments (july 10th last payment, august 10th return date) left so I'm not in a big hurry.
Still contemplating. Will see i guess.

Spice Orange/Black JCW coupé with contrasting viper stripe, JCW suspension (it'll be a "we owe", since there are no parts in the US yet), various other options.

My wife will call it "Jack" ("o'Lantern"). I'll call it "my car".

 

Took my 2011 MCS in for service yesterday and left with a 2012 JCW Coupe, Chilli Red, optioned to the gills. Pictures soon.
