Trading the slightly old 09 for new High gate edition, anyone here have it ?was curious how many of these is mini making.

 

Put a deposit down on fri for one also. No build date yet how about you?

 

Just picked it up ,very unique color combo. Is yours going to be a 2013?

 

Congragulations to you! Not sure about model year, it will depend on build date, post some pictures if you could we live 200+ miles from dealer and have only seen web pictures.

This color is very unique it looks black in no light , brown in little light ,full sun you see blue in it. the top has a brown silver look. I personally like it. the interior has nice touches like the brushed aluminum and deviated silver stitching along with blue piping and leather door armrest (which is so much more comfortable), along with leather dash trim. Oh the mats are nice too,trimmed in brown. It is a bargain for this highgate package!

The down side, it is a color that will look horrible if not maintained, the wheels are a pain to clean.
If you are building one make sure you get the center armrest from factory.

Thanks for the photos.We are looking forward to our new MINI we have a 06 Chili Red MCSc that we have had since new and are ready to upgrade to the next gen. Dark color will be an adjustment but we do like it, could make a trip to the dealer to see one but we want the surprise factor again(first one we built on the web and never saw it in person until the day we picked it up! Very nice! I too traded in my 09 for a 2012 Mini Cooper S Highgate Convertible! It looks exactly like yours and I am in NJ too. I hope you do not take the train to work or we may end up with the wrong cars!

Congrats! Did you notice that this one is tighter than the 09? Also has a smoother feel on the road I don't know if it's the wheels .I had 16" on the 09 or they changed anything in the suspension.

 

To answer the OP's question...there is no limit to how many they will make, but the production will only run for 6 months
