2009 Cabrio Rumors/Facts?

Does anyone know/has anyone heard anything about the 2009 Cabrio from the perspective of: new colors, special 50th Anniversary "stuff", rollover bars, when you can order, when will they arrive, anything else - thanks!

Check out the R57 updates and rumors thread a few down from this one:

The info on roll bars and colors is pretty solid.

BMW 1 series convertible has a pair of deployable rollover hoops behind the rear seats. There is a pass-thru between the seats. If the R57 uses a similar hoop system, I expect the same setup.

not being able to put a suitcase in the boot/trunk with the seats down pretty much renders it useless in my opinion. That pass through would not be big enough to even put a golf bag through there . . . so what do we use it for? skis that would still stick out 3 feet behind the car?
If this is the case, it would be the final straw in my decision to keep the R52.

I agree. If the mechanism is similar to the BMW-1 series, I cannot see any way the hoops would not block up the space behind each seat. I would prefer the R52 style fixed hoops w/folding rear seats.

On the other hand, I'd still bet that MINI comes up with some great features to make the R57 really desirable and to fit the bag of golf clubs.

I'm surprised that there are no spy shots yet of the R57 rear seat.

I just want to know 2 things....pricing and what interior choices are going to be available now that the last of the Supercharged confirms it's possible to have the lounge leather in a Vert. (I'm not counting the malt brown since that was a "special" edition)

According to Auto Express, the deployable roll hoops are a "single pop-up unit" so it's possible that there will be a good size pass-through with the rear seats folded:

First pics I've seen of the top-down R57:

EDIT: nevermind -- just looked at howie's link above

the deployable roll hoops are a "single pop-up unit" so it's possible that there will be a good size pass-through with the rear seats folded
The problem is this:

"but is otherwise hidden behind the rear seat backrests. "

. . . which limits the opening behind the rear seat backrests -- as it does in the BMWs with the same system. Obviously, the pup-up unit will not fold down with the seats, so it'll still be in the way with the seats folded down.
