Alright, this is my first post. I'm a proud owner of an OB/W MC. It's on order. Should be six weeks.

Great news DJ...yeah, six weeks sounds about right.

So you fell in love w/ OB, too, eh? Are you getting a contrasting roof or no? Manual or auto? Planning any stripes?? How did you spec the interior? Inquiring minds, you know.

 

Yeah, I tried to make a sig that showed all the features, but I failed.

Here's the rundown:
MC '07 Oxygen Blue/White Roof, Mirrors, and Bonnet Stripes, 16" 5-Star Blaster Wheels, Audio Package, iPod Adapter, 6-Speed Automatic (paddle shifters rule), and Front Fog Lamps.

We decided to pick our favorite of the "free" colors and ended up at OB. Also, we picked it because it's not frequently seen. I thought Pepper White was nice, but then I saw it everywhere. Seriously, about half the MINIs I'd seen from that point on were PW.

gokartride, I saw your photo on the gallery and it looks pretty sweet. I can't wait.

Now I just have to trade in my current jalopy. Anyone want to buy a 2000 Dodge Stratus ES? Anyone? Is this thing on?

 

Seems to only work on OB-related subjects for some reason, at least around here.

Your MINI sounds super!! I must confess as much as I love driving a manual, there are days when I wish for an automatic, especially after having several automatic Cooper loaners. Very nice!!!

You're right...OB seems well on the way to being a rare and highly-desirable MINI color!! Keep us posted on progress, okay!!!

I don't spin anything. It's a nickname that stuck from back in the early 90's when we made fun of the whole gangsta rap thing. I was DJ Mix (pretty generic catch-all) My brother, who was L.L. Camino, still calls me DJ. Weird. We're as white and lame as they come!

I'm originally from Delaware. First State, baby! Now I live in Pennsylvania and the wife is expecting any day now! I'll keep everyone posted.

If it weren't for her I might be in the Pepper White Owner's Club.

Hey all,
My Oxygen Blue baby is built. It's now awaiting transport. I ordered it on the 20th of September and it was built by the 30th. Is that fast? Do you guys remember how long it took to get to you from that point? Does it really take 4 1/2 more weeks to get it?

Excitement is mounting...

 

Okay, now I know what's up.

Our MINI will leave Southampton on October 2, 2007 on the UNDINE. It'll arrive in New York on October 11th, 2007. Our MINI Dealership is 3 hours from New York (West Chester Pennsylvania). The MA says it'll be 2-3 weeks from now until I'm driving it.
Not bad. We ordered it on September 20th. It was built by September 30th. We'll have it on October 22nd at the latest. One month from order to purchase!

BEATRICE looks exactly like the MINI I've ordered, from the exterior, anyway. From the OB color, to the roof, mirrors, and bonnet stripes, right down to the wheels.

I've been looking at your "snapfish" slide show to give me my fix. Mine arrives in New York on a boat today. Can't wait.

Oh yeah, and our "real baby" was born on Wednesday, October 3rd in West Chester, PA. A boy, 7lbs 9oz. So, the first of my two babies has arrived. Mom and baby are healthy and happy...and so am I.

Congrats on that!!! I have four and cannot describe the joy I get from my goofy kids! Sure one makes many, many sacrifices, but they've given me more out of life than I could have imagined. As a very observant dad (also w/ four and coincidently right down the road from you) once said..."it is like living four lives at once." Enjoy every minute...and teach him to motor!!!

New flash!!!

Today at my neighborhood MINI dealership (Moritz) three.......that's right THREE .........OBs are being delivered. Two OB/Ws and a lovely OB/OB that I actually saw. The new owner wore an OB shirt....mommashine would have been so proud!! Their MA was giving them the go-through so I didn't interrupt.

Who knows, I may yet see an OB MINI on the roads around here...we'll see!!!

 

So, after much deliberation and haggling I have finally placed the order for my OB/W MC baby. I think I'm going to name her "Bella" since she will be such a beauty, as you all can attest to

My config is:
OB/W MC, manual, Cold Weather, Premium Package, DSC, and front fog lights. I was debating stripes, but have left them off for the time being.

Can't say how excited I am. I was originally set on a Week 40 production, but the dealer was so far away and it just never felt "right".

I am now at peace with my Mini and can't wait for her to get here .

 

It is truly beyond words...I think we understand that much!!!

That's really a tremendous thing! If a MINI thrills you in the Configurator, I think folks here will attest that it will likely totally bowl you over once you see it in person...nevermind when you're actually motoring!!!

See, all this MINI-lunacy starts to make sense once you think about it!!! :impatient

 

Hey o2's, I was looking in the catalog they have at the dealerships and oxygen blue is not in there as a possible color for the MC

 

The O2Blue color was a later issue...the newest 07 catalogs/books are showing the color, but the earlier ones didn't....

Or were you referring to the 08 catalogs??

 

Oxygen Blue is still in the configurator and no rumors of discontinuation that I've seen. Seems we're safe for now.
