That's great news, flav! My car finished today as well. Ordered on March 7. Join us in the Week 13 thread. There's info about shipping there.

Very nice! Please post your build so we can know the hidden "Get it now!" option.

I'm also still waiting. What did you order that it got built already? I'm jealous....

I feel for you Skuzzy. When will we ever see a nightfire red car? I might have ordered one if I could have seen more than a small metal plate in the color. They managed to get other new colors out and to feature them prominently (sparkling silver, laser blue, mellow yellow).

Of course, they would have made less money on me because I ended up with the MCS.

Ok,..ok,..breath Skuz,...1,...2,...3. Ok, it is nice to see someone getting thier Mini sooner, rather than later. Pardon my selfishness.

Your dealer must have had a slot in that week that you filled. Who's your dealer? Looks like our cars might travel together to NJ. They'll look very similar to each other.

Hey Skuzzy -
I also ordered a nightfire red MC - on 3/8, and even though miniusa.com says it's on order, I called ASK MINI and they told me it's scheduled for production in week 16. Have you called ASK MINI? (866-ASK-MINI). Talk to an actual person rather than using the automated system.

Yes kimmc, I was all over the phone the minute I read this post, and just called again. No luck. Still not scheduled for production. :(

EDIT: flav, I specifically asked when I ordered about the time frames. I was told 6 to 8 weeks. So I am still in the running for those dates. Just wishing it would be sooner like these guys.

Skuzzy, did you order auto or manual?

Here's just a thought, my dealer had told me that they were *just* starting to roll the automatics off the production line when I ordered mine last week, up til then they'd been all stick-shifts. So it'd be reasonable to assume that they would have a backlog of automatics on order? I wonder whether these folks getting theirs produced lightning-quick are automatic...

btw, I just called the toll-free line, the girl told me mine is in the "last stage" of being 'on order' before a production date is available, so hopefully I'll know more soon...

I ordered a manual. Just a Cooper, not an 'S'. The 6 speed standard for the Cooper had not been available though. And the color is new as well. I had forgotten about the 6 speed not being available for the Cooper until recently.

Well, this doesn't make sense at all! If they haven't started producing automatics or sticks, then what have they been producing!?!

rooandren, the MCS has not had an automatic available until recently.

The MC has not had the standard available until recently. Nightfire Red is only available on the MC.
