From everything I've seen around here, that is a reasonable summary "if all goes well". I used to be paranoid about that, but I think the vast majority of people are in and out of VDC on that schedule. There just happen to be some horror stories around.

Alrighty, I'm on the Frisa, due into SC on the 10th with estimated delivery the week of the 21st (seems a long time to get from there to Indy). Guess I'm more on pace with the week 17 guys, but at least I'll be motoring soon.

Glad you've gone some news JohnnyF. Is Owner's Lounge giving you that date of the 21st? From the 10th to 21st includes two weekends, so that's not too unreasonable.

Here's an example of how weird OL can be. On 5/2 it listed Estimated Delivery as 5/4. On 5/3 it listed Estimated Delivery on 5/3. On 5/4 it lists Estimated Delivery as 5/2. Meanwhile it says this whole time At VDC. According to LynnEl who has been driving for a week, his still says Awaiting Production (or something).

I'm anxiously awaiting that call from the MA now. It's probably around here now, but gets delivered to a warehouse offsite, etc. I'm hoping Friday night I can pick her up!

OL finally updated for me to show "At distribution center" and now shows an estimated delivery date of 5/6 - which is this Sunday. Unfortunately for some strange reason, my dealership is closed on Sundays. I've got a call in to my MA, but it's looking like I won't be able to pick it up until next weekend...

MalteseFalcn - what dealer are you with in Jersey? I'm at Morristown.

Otto's Mini in West Chester, PA. It's at least an hour from South Jersey, but still closer than Main Line or Princeton... (I'm ALL the way down South...)

Thanks, I guess I can start whining less now.
I got the 21st from my MA. I don't have a delivery time shown under "review order detail."

The OL is definitely weird-it has been horribly outdated thus far. Hope you get your car for the weekend and can get in some quality motoring.

: mad::co nfused:

This is my cycle of feelings right now. My MINI is at the dealer but they haven't received the Certificate of Origin yet, so they can't register it!!! I've asked my MA if he has any way to know for sure that it is on its way, because I would not be happy if we wait a week to find out it's lost or something.

Well, my parents are coming into town this weekend, and I really didn't want my mom asking to drive it.

Got the big email today. My car arrived and I can pick it up on Monday! Now I need to decide if I want to take Monday off and pick it up in the morning and take off for a day of driving or if I should pick it up Monday night and take Tuesday off so that I can have a full day with it...

I called my MA on Friday. I was SO good and tried not to bother him all week. But 3:00 PM Friday came, and since I wasn't getting any work done, I figured, I might as well call. I couldn't take the wait and not-knowing any more so I called him.

Owner's Lounge says delivery for 5/5/2007. MA did a check and it's still in New Jersey, waiting to get on a truck. However, he said that trucks don't deliver on Saturday (maybe it's just my dealer's trucking company, I don't know). Anyway, it's probably going to be Monday or Tuesday before my dealer gets it. They are going to add the dealer installed accessories, and then I pick it up sometime next week.

So maybe Wednesday, my grizzled, recently hairless, recently fingernail-less self shows up to pick up my car.

O bloody 'L

My MA just told me that he can't schedule my delivery until my Mini is received in inventory, but we're hoping for a tentative date Wednesday night (this is in PA).

boo hoo

I was hoping to take delivery this Wednesday, but I just called and my MA said the truck never showed up today, he's been expecting it since Sat. And if the truck doesn't show up until tomorrow, is one day enough time for the dealership to detail and prep the car?

If I don't pick it up Wednesday, scheduling conflicts will keep me from picking it up for WEEKS until Mem Day weekend!

I've been patient since March, but getting impatient now...

Maltese, let your MA know your situation. Beg and plead to put a rush job on the car at the dealer....well, not too rushed, but beg for priority?

I'm picking Mia up in an hour! After another day of pulling my hair out over insurance, registration, etc. Someone is lying and incompentant, I'm not sure who. But I don't care anymore!!! It might be a bit before I can get pics up. Wooo!!!

Oh, my dealer is fully well aware of my schedule, they knew about it back in March when I placed the order. I'm sure they're doing everything they can, because it's not like they want to get it into inventory and then sit on it for weeks waiting for me to take delivery...

I hope you're out driving and loving it right now. I just finished up with a 2 hour work-out just in case my car is ready tomorrow because it's going to be hard to do anything else at night for the rest of the week once I take delivery

Huzzah!

My MA called today, my Mini arrived at the dealership at 8:20 this morning! It went right into detailing and delivery prep, and I go tomorrow at dinnertime to pick it up!

Now of course I just need it to be happy and healthy, with no check engine light, bonnet gap, dash rattle, or anything else that I've been reading about on here for the last two months...

Maltese...so do you get to drive it for one night and then not again til Memorial day?

Good luck in the home stretch for everyone else! I'll be keeping an eye on your progress (and expect plenty of pics!!!)

It's been a long wait, but dang, it's finally paid off! Now to go drive some more!

Sigh!

Yeah Roo, I'll get in about 1-1/2 days of good motoring, and then Mini goes into hibernation til the holiday weekend. Ah well, at least it's MINE!
