So far so good. I've made it through half the day. Fortunately work has picked up.

ASK Mini says: It is on a carrier towards Southampton!
Yay! 1 month to go until she's here!

Should be sooner than that, if all goes well! You'll probably be able to find out what ship by tomorrow!

I'm prepared for the worst, and if it comes in sooner, I'll be super excited!
Which dealer did you order from rooandren?
I got mine through HC.

Mine is also finished with production and no longer in Oxford (at least 1 day early). I tried the WW site, but no luck on if it's scheduled on a ship yet.

One thing about the WWsite - it doesn't work well with Windows PC and Firefox browser - so if you aren't getting any info on the site, try Explorer.

Yep, HC is down the road from me. They're very cool and seem to have it together. They have already called to have me come in and get started on paperwork!

Weird, that's the browser combination I use and haven't had any problems.

My info only showed up on the WW site 12 hours before it departed, so keep your eyes peeled!

Only have time for daily and not even to hold for an actual person. I call daily and my fiance laughs at me daily. It's a good time. In the paint shop tonight, so that's progress.

I think once it's on the boat you are supposed to obsessively check the www.sailwx.info site to watch the ship crossing the ocean.

Really what MINI should do is put webcams througout the entire production and shipping process. That way you could log in to the OL and see a live shot of your car just sitting there waiting for you to drive it home.
Glad you dig the name, it seemed appropriate given the production date. I had a super difficult time choosing the color but saw a BRG in the wild the other day and feel better about it now.

I think you're onto something with the camera tracking...come on Mini, give me something!

Sorry for the ramble but...

Well I am a little confused now. The WW site shows my VIN on a ship scheduled to arrive in NY 4/27. My MA called me last night and said it was scheduled to be at the VDC on 4/23, but didn't have specific ship info. So something doesn't add up unless his information is reeeealy old. 'cos 4/23 would be physically impossible if supposedly my build completed 5 or 6 days before that.

I guess the world is just trying to keep me on my toes and build the anticipation!

4/23? That would be super fast. You could ptotetially have the car by the end of next week!

I entered the paintshop and currently have an ECD of 4/20 according to the associate, the automated message is still reporting an ECD of 4/21 though.

Just called automated ASK MINI - they say my car is awaiting shipping. Still no luck on the WW site. I found a ship leaving 4/21 due in NYC on 4/30 called Liberty that I'm hoping to be booked on.

Anyone else in Week 16 booked on a ship besides rooandren (lucky!)?

Asian Chorus

Looks like I am joining you on the Asian Chorus. I have had no luck with the sailwx site. How did you confirm a 4/27 arrival in NY? My car needs to make it there, then get trucked to Seattle. I am thinking mid-May? Or am i dreaming?:impatient

Called today, my car has finished production and quality control and is on it's way to the docks! Guess I get to stay part of the Week 16 club!

My car is really straggling. I'm just hoping to finish tomorrow (after being told that I entered production last friday).

Newbie here. First post! Production complete on a BRG MCS and awaiting release to the carrier. The scheduled end production date was the 17th and they hit it on the nose. Ordered the car at the end of March so I'm extremely psyched with the turnaround. Tracking a boat ride should be a lot of fun.

Congrats and welcome!
Our Minis will probably be on the same carrier, mine is on the Liberty, scheduled to arrive NY 4/30!

Called this morning and finally got a "production complete" message. Hoping to join everyone else on the ocean by early next week. Is there a place to check what days boats are leaving for NJ so I could see when I might hypothetically be sent off?

You can see which boat you get booked on by searching with you VIN number here:
http://schedule.2wglobal.com/AppTrac...trackType=Auto
You can look up different ship schedules by voyage or by vessel here:
http://schedule.2wglobal.com/AppSchedules/

I'm booked on the Liberty leaving UK on 4/21 and arriving in NY on 4/30

hailpurdue - we're on the same ship!

Congrats to everyone who is moving along. Best of luck once again!

Welcome to you eightysixdown. What did you order?

iDriveS, let us know if you figured out your ship.

Anyone have any luck with the free subscription to AISlive ship tracker? I submitted a request, it took 24 hours to get a login, but it doesn't work (this is one full day after receiving the login and it says it can take a few hours until it works). I feel funny contacting them again, because this isn't the intended purpose of the service.

EDIT: I figured out the login problem. They told me my login was my work emial, but I tried my personal email and that worked.

That does sound really odd. You got that info from the WW site with your VIN? In addition to what kimmc said, when you find your ship with the VIN and have your shipping info page, you can click on the number next to "Voyage", and this gives info on the trip dates.

But back to oddness, I don't understand why you wouldn't be on a ship going to the west coast? Have you talked to your MA? Hope everything is kosher!

Thanks for the welcome.

I ordered a British Racing Green MCS, Black roof and stripes with no packages - got the sports suspension, LSD and DSC, and the MSFW for the cruise control. Cloth seats, piano black interior and that rear fog light because I had to fill in the console. It was very hard to not pick up sports package and the web spokes, but I stuck to a under 25K order point. Got the bridge spokes and figure I can always go back for wheels easily in the future.

I would love to be on the Liberty, but nothing has updated yet.

Had to make a call this morning. Mini has moved to the port, and is awaiting a shipping vessel. Booyah!

kimmc and rooandren, thanks for the information. i was not aware of the links for the voyage at Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics.

to answer your questions - I decided to buy my mini on the east coast and pay mini of the hamptons $500 to ship it west by truck. not only do I get it 2-4 months earlier (the wait time here is much longer!), but i also don't have to pay the west coast surcharge. (many dealers on the west coast charge above MSRP for minis.) in the end, i basically broke even on money and got my mini in time for a summer of fun driving.

My Specs - any other ideas

I just cannot wait. MCS Red with Black roof. DSC, LSD, cruise, wood trim, mats, and, of course, the can't do without it option - the map light!

After market, it is all about making it fun for the kids, 5 and 7. Their favorite numbers are 7 and 11, so i am going to get magnetic numbers for the doors. then, since they pretend to be Jaguar Man and Lightning Man, I was going to use templates and magnetic sheets to cut out lightning bolts.

The key question is, what do i do for Jaguar Man?

ahhhh, now that makes sense about the cross country trek. I hope that works out well for you!

It is a pretty ridiculous idea, but is there any way you could get a Jaguar-brand hood ornamet affixed to the bonnet...or maybe less ridiculously on the dash.
For the lightning bolts, they do sell those pre-fabbed because of the Hammer and Coop advertising campaign (ah, but not magnetic). But by all means you are encouraged to use your own creative modification skills! Let's make sure we see some pics when that is all complete!
