Interior pictures??? You'll have to wait until after the maid comes for those! I just moved and it is still a bit messy but I'll post them this weekend.
And I'm willing to bet I couldn't get my signature to NOT show up again in a million years!!!

That's really sort of cool. One post in your entire history with no siggy in it. Only an NFR'er could have pulled that off.

So I'm curious how some of the NFRs got their name.... My story is quite ordinary (just a name combo thing) but there are some quite unique and creative names on this forum... (I'd put a smiley here but can't while at work...)

Use ASCII for the smiley. The Happy dude is colon and right paranthese.

Romi got her name the day I first got a look at her after she arrived. I instantly thought of the television series 'Andromeda'. Romi, the ship's avatar, in many of the seasons wore this incredibly sexy black and red leather outfit. OY! WOOT!

Ahhh..the stuff dreams are made of.

Also works well as I plan to paint the constellation Andromeda on the roof.

Oh Caren, if you only knew!

"Bubbles" comes from a Canadian TV Show called "Trailer Park Boys". The show is about a group who live in a trailer park, smoke dope, drink and spend the end of every season in jail and the beginning of every season coming out of jail..

Bubbles is this guy who lives in a shed in someone's backyard because his parents left him, he's got big, thick glasses with one of those wide bands holding them on and a funny "stuck out" lower jaw.....so as soon as I saw my car, I thought I was going to call him Bubbles because of the big googly headlights!

Bubbles takes care of all the kitties in the park, pulls shopping carts out of ditches, etc to earn money to live and feed his kitties, and always ends up saving the day for the rest of the crew!

I'm like a jungle trekker, slicing through the lint with a machete. I've also been very busy helping a family with a lot of problems, a large reason for my absence--including that they drive an Oldsmobile Silhouette and a Grand Prix.

So after 5880 miles (approx) I finally got my 2nd gear issue resolved (grinding going from 1st to 2nd when I first start driving). Spike got a whole new tranny! (that's transmission, not a friend who likes to dress up in women's clothes - though I'm sure he'd like that too).

The new one is much smoother all around (not just between 1st and 2nd) and the dealership was great at resolving the issue. I even got a 2007 MC auto as a loaner while Spike was getting fixed. I have to say that the auto wasn't as boring as I thought, and was a treat in city driving.

Glad to hear you got that resolved kimmc. Romi has never had the 'grind' issue, but she is a bit notchy when shifting from first to second, unless I shift at high RPM's, which I am loathe to do.

Hey carjoy,..I just noticed you lost the NFR tag in favor of another one. What are those other two. I am old, ...cannot see worth a darn.

One of 'dem is a traditional-style NFR Owners badge---when did that sneak into existence? Of course it ain't got none of the pizazzzz of our custom ones.

Anyone else getting anxious about the first winter in their Mini? Last winter there was about 2 inches of snow here--but I just have a hunch we're going to get dumped on this year.

It has gotten cool enought here I can run without the A/C compressor on and the gas mileage has gone through the roof!

On a recent 60 mile jaunt, Romi managed to turn in an impressive 45.2MPG while averaging 66MPH. The OBC said 46.8MPG!! WOOT!

She typically gets 41MPH on the highway with the A/C compressor on.

We are happy campers!

We are unique! Not to be confused with eunuch! We are anything but traditional! Does not mean we are not willing to trade,....but we have to come out on the better end of the deal!.

We are NFR!! WOOT!! WOOT!!!

EDIT: I just noticed something else. Take yer mouse cursor and hover over Romi in my sig. You guys are slacking off!

Scuzz, First... That would be "remind HER" not "remind HIM"....
Second, Did I commit a faux paus??? I was just trying to keep to the 100x300 tag line specs... I agree that us NFRs are very special people (unlike a certain Oxygen Blue contingent) and we do stand out in a crowd. I'll work on getting back into line....
Third, the middle one is our local Mini club "Dynamic Mini Collective" or DMC. I'm part of the Desert Rat Pack chapter. The last one is Team Cooper. I've done the AutoX race twice now. Came in second in my class last Saturday. WooHoo!!!

Just razin ya on the tag. Mini is all about the freedom to do yer own thing. Congrats on the AutoX! I used to race,...many years ago. Now, I find plenty of challenges just getting to and from work! Sometimes in and out of the garage!

P.S. I think the sig tag specs are 100x500.

Hmmm,..it just occurs to me. I thnk we are nearly 50/50 male/female in the NAM NFR corner. Course some have dropped off the map. Speaking of wheich,...where the frak is dennisd? Uh,..no,..he is a not a woman,...but he fits the 'dropped of the map' part.
