I woulda' thought the dirty MINI would be more inconspicuous. If it's really thick enough, maybe it could absorb all the waves of the radar gun and act as your cloaking device!
Well, if you look back a million posts ago, I did mention that I'd be rally driving through the forest and sliding sideways into the curb popping the tires off the rims....didn't I? Halfway there now!
The Wife unit spotted an NFR in the wild the other day. It had stripes and black roof/mirror caps. She is turning into quite the spotter.
I have uet to see an NFR in the wild.
Saw one at the delar lot the other day. Had an nFR roof and mirror caps. Looked sort of naked.
That is the rare one Skuzz...I haven't heard of one or even seen a pic yet. That could be the collector car of this genre? Can you get a pic of it and post? Pleeeease?
I think someone at the mini dealer in Cincinnati has one of those "naked" NFRs. I always see it when I'm up there. I'll try to remember to get a photo next time.
I've been a long-time lurker but my husband outed me this morning using my log-on, so I thought I would introduce my new Mini here.
Ordered from Global Imports in Atlanta on the 26th of August, the car was at the dealer on the September 30th and I picked her up on Oct 6th. I was very happy with the whole shopping experience except that she was on one of those "untrackable" ships.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this car.

GHarbick,..WELCOME to the insanity that is NFR! We are the unseen, the motion just in periphy view, the silent wind that moves through time and space ever vigilant and watchful for the LINT *****! The DoD just thinks they know about stealth!
I live in the Atlanta area and my car's name is Rosie aka Mini Marauder. She acquired the Rosie name thanks to my husband sending out birth announcements with the name and I think it's kind of nice, though a little predictable.
I was worried about not getting an S model, but this one has plenty of energy. I love driving again.
My husband likes it so much he's planning his Mini. It will be a while -- have to wait till this one is paid for.
You guys win...the OB thread is five pages back!!!
BTW, anybody seen any #s from MINI on R56 colors sold in the U.S.? We used to get this stuff on the earlier model but I've seen nothing. Maybe at the close-out of the '07s??
It's been a while for me too...good to know that the craziness continues!
BTW have any of you had a problem with the boot power socket? The power works but the socket pops loose. Thought I would ask here before I made a general post.
You're right about the tag Shaka. I guess NFR owners just have excellent taste. I just got back from a 1700 mile road trip to Texas and Sir Ranulph performed admirably. I averaged 38.5 MPG! It's nice to be able to pass up so many gas stations.
