Although I can't answer on the shiny aspect, the stripes themselves came from Aesthetic Creations - that's what the acronym "AC" stands for in the post.

Massive_Lemon is correct. You'll find the stripes at Aesthetic Creations under Roof Stripes, in the RACE section (unless Mike changed the site).
Shiny is from washing and waxing with Prima products from Detailers Paradise (a NAM Vendor) - Epic wax.

New Lightning Blue MCS
Picked up my new ride last Friday (11/09) from Northwest Mini. I highly recommend this dealer. MA Tomio worked with me for a year and a half and was great!
The lightning blue is fantastic!!
Much better than I had hoped for as I never actually got to see the color in person, just pics like LynneEl's LB/LB.
The ride home was great! The nav system never forgot where we were going, even after I left the highway for lunch. On post consumption start-up the car told me excatly how to get back to the road!
Although it was expensive, I am very impressed with the systems integration and capability, this is no Tom Tom.
Went to pass and found myself doing 95!!
Yikes, imagine my surprise. Also, I really like the new door sills, very solid and attractive.
I'm extremely impressed so far.
Except for a rock chip on the hood and windshield
at 130 miles all is fantastic!

Most with the NAV system seem to be impressed by it as well. I may opt for it on my next MINI; we'll see.

I so know the feeling of accelerating just a little bit and finding yourself at 90+. I swear it happens almost every time I pass!!! If you're impressed with the power now just wait until you start adding aftermarket parts (assuming that you plan to).

I'm also a big fan of the new doorsills. I originally planned to spring for the illuminated ones, but since the new ones are so nice it's no longer necessary.
You might want to consider getting the clear bra installed to prevent any further rock chips. On colors like LB especially chips tend to stand out.
Would love to see some pics when you get a chance. HAPPY MOTORING!

+1 on Tomio as he was my MA, too. Good guy, for sure.
Drivng the Olympic Peninsula
My first drive was from Sequim, WA, to Lake Crescent on the Olympic Peninsula. Actually 110 miles from Tacoma to Sequim which is home from the dealership but the first real real drive was around the top of the peninsula. We are blessed with truly fantatstic driving opportunities including winding roads along the Straights of Juan de Fuca (or Wanda Fooka as my wife calls it) and the Pacific Ocean. It's just a 30 minute drive from the sea to Hurricane Ridge with the most spectucular views of the snow capped Olympic Mts and Canada. I highly recommend the area for nature lovers who enjoy spirited driving. And, as soon as the rain stops I'll be back at it.
It's really great to drive a car made for specifically for driving after I reluctantly sold my beloved 1974 Jensen Healey last year to help pay for Grad school. Next, I will circumnavigate the entire penisnula including a stop at Northwest Mini to repair the rock chip, and maybe get the clear bra applied.

I would have much more expected something along the lines of a new Scion XB to TC..( depending if it took after Mama or Papa ) But it seams as if Mama may have been playing around while Papa was on the Autobann
