Don't know if it has been mentioned before, but on the computer config screen on the large speedo (non GPS) and change the language to English UK instead of English US, you can fool yourself into having better MPG!

I was rolling on 32.2MPG with US English and 38.8MPG on UK English

Not sure about justaCoopers, but on my S the chrome gas door locks when the car is locked. Took me nearly a year to figure that out!

Maybe it has to have the key in the slot? I have comfort access, so I never have the key in the slot. But, that would make sense, since if you have the key in the slot, you are likely in the car>

I haven't got the warning, but it supposedly does exist on my S with nav.

My MA pointed that out to me right away. She said, that's not actually a gas cap, it's the gas cap cover, and it locks when your doors are locked. Then she showed me the little holder for the real gas cap on the inside of the cover.

iPhone = iPod OR phone, not both

This is a great thread...esp for people like me who just picked up thier new MCS less than 24hrs ago!

Anyway, I didn't realize that my iPhone would go into airplane mode when I plug in the USB!! That really sucks. So, I can have either a phone or an iPod, but not both.

Maybe someone can tell me a setting to change to fix this?

I didn't know that! I'd assumed the Bluetooth would still work for the phone when it's plugged in for iPod functionality.

I hope there's a way to use both! (Though the June 2.0 software update to the iPhone may fix it altogether, if it can be fixed on Apple's end. *shrug*)

iPhone

I need to post a correction.

When I plug in the iPhone, I get the following message:

"This accessory is not made to work with iPhone.
Would you like to turn on airplane mode to reduce audio interference? You will not be able to make or recieve calls. Yes/No."

I just tried again, and selected "no." It seems I am able to get both phone and iPod functions. But, apparently at the price of audio interference.

Please fogive my haste...

yeah the only time you should really get any interference is when you are receiving or sending any type of text message or phone call.

Oooh--I posted too late! By now you're probably going through the pre-flight checklist.
Congratulations!

This one I figured out but many may not have heard it yet. Hold the unlock trunk button on the FOB and the trunk pops unlatched.
When I click the unlock trunk button on the remote, my alarm goes off??? Hmmmm

Super--glad you finally have her! Be sure to read the manual at least twice--there's a lot of things to learn about our "electronic" cars. It's great that we no longer have to go to the dealer to program things, especially if you change your mind. IMHO, the most important ones are: daytime lights or not, double pull locks or not, and turn signals 1 flash or 3.

Oh, and don't forget to put some miles on your baby!

I noticed that there isn't much storage space in the doors, compared to other cars.
Is there a reason why a good part of the door is blocked off? Better performance in side impact crashes?

Ever notice when you wear polarized sunglasses, you can see a checkered image in the rear window?
