I was reading through my March Automobile magazine last night and saw the new Morgan uses the headlight assembly from the '07 MINI. I found that very interesting. Perhaps you will as well...or not.

I did a double take when I saw the picture of the Morgan Aero 8.

It looks good IMO.

 

I noticed that a while back... they stole our lights!!!

 

Actually, the Morgan Aero uses the Xenon headlight assembly of the 2005-2008 R52 and R53 MINIs, not the new R56 (Totally different headlights).

 

You may be right but the article specifically said the new '07 MINI asssembly.

Looks like the turn signals are MINI also.

 

This is what I was led to believe by what I read...

 

Those headlights are MK1 (2005-2008) R50/52/53 Xenon headlights. They are not R56 headlights at all.

 

I thought I've seen Aero 8's with the '05-'06 MINI xenon headlight, however on Morgan's website they show the Aero 8 with VW New Beetle headlights.



....aaah, now that I searched for explicitly an '06 Morgen Aero 8, here it is with the MINI headlights:



Looks like they updates the Aero 8 in '06 to the MINI headlights, as well as other stuff.

 

That car is probably a beast to drive but that front end is ugly. I don't like the "crossed eyed"look of this car at all.

 

It's interesting that they installed them reversed (headlamp washers) ....

At the Battle of the Brits car show this year Auto Europe had an Aero 8 with a yellowish interior and I was caught trying to sell the wife and child to fund the acqusition. Imagine rolling up in that...quite an entrance!
