North American Motoring has been very helpful as I made my decision about ordering my first Mini. I've been a BMW driver for almost 20 yrs and I consider my MCS to be a return to the fun that I had older bimmers that were "drivers' cars"

I'm giving up my E61 (530xit) and now I just have to wait [months] for delivery.

Yes, it's another sparkling silver with lounge red leather (it looked so great when I saw it at the product launch here in Scottsdale). I went a little crazy checking the options boxes with sport, premium, cold weather, convenience, chrome line exterior, navigation, sport suspension, LSD, PDC, anthracite liner, 10 speaker, chrome interior, piano black, black bonnet stripes.

Anyway, I'm fired up for it to arrive.

Gracias. Yeah, those red seats are something I've been wanting ever since I talked myself out of ordering red seats on an E46 touring.

 

Order almost exactly the same car - only difference is black exterior and English Oak dash - rest is the same (and maybe you can answer the same question: what is the point of the cold weather package in Arizona or Nevada??? )

I ordered about the same. I finally got to look at the Sparkling Silver in person and I loved it. I have always loved the Dark Silver but after seeing it with the black roof I couldn't resist.

Nice spec. Test drove one just like your spec (visualy) very nice!

 

You will LOVE the color combo. It's BEAUTIFUL! Especially the interior. I didn't want to give anyone else a turn in the one I drove. When I came in to park it, I seriosly could have curled up with a cup-o-tea and taken a nap! They're not called "Lounge Leather" seats for nothing. Feels like a nice old leather chair. And the car goes like stink to boot! You will love it.

 

Oh my friend, the desert can be mighty cold some days. When I'm called to drive into work at o'dark-thirty, those bun warmers are very nice.

 

We have the full range of climate found in North America, from desert to tundra. Never know if you will end up in Show Low (for instance).
