Krut's R56 - Delivered! Finally!

Pics here....

I apologize for the crappy quality of the photos - I forgot to bring a charged battery for my nice digital camera and had to rely on my Nokia 6103 mobile phone.

Of note:

I've never had a car with "1" mile. Thought that was kind of cool! ;-)

I can have the driving lights on for both low and high beams. Anyone else with an R56 notice that unusual (but not unwanted) behavior?

Its' super quiet.

The bluetooth is not so spectacular at speed.

I'll post a full review tomorrow.

Krut, very nice and good color!

BTW, those lights would be illegal in MD but nobody will know. In fact, when I had fogs added to my MINI in an independent shop, they told me the OEM car would not pass MD inspection even though I insisted the driving lights were OEM. I think maybe it was a height issue on the driving lights

One mile Cool.

BTW, How do you do it? Aren't you taking a hit on all these new cars or are they leased and written off?

Congratulations, glad you finally got your MINI delivered! Looks very cool. I will have to remember to take a picture of the mileage when I pick mine up

Good to hear you finally got your car Kurt. Ours is still MIA! Want to bring it buy the shop and let us "borrow" it a bit?

Mine just showed up - it's still MIA as far as MINI is concerned. :-)

I'm off Monday - let me know if you need to borrow my ECU.

I like!

The more I see, the more I second-guess my color choice.

Oh, and as far as the driving lights, yeah, it's illegal in most places in the US to have them on with the low-beams.

Give Eric a call tomorrow around 10-12. Perhaps we could all figure out a time so he could peek at your car, and you and I could figure out some MINICup stuff. I could use the help, but don't want you to drive all the way to Philly unless you really want to.

Your MCS looks great. I enjoyed the pictures and look forward to your review. Mine's been built, but it's a month away right now. Can't wait.

Congratulations, Krut! It's really neat to get one with such low mileage, isn't it? Mine had 2--lowest by far of any new car I've ever bought.

I notice you're parked in a handicapped space. Do you drive with hand controls like my daughter does in her MINI? Or was that just the dealer's miscue?

When did you put yours on order--what production week were you?

Congrats Kurt!!
It's another beauty.
If you could not tell, I'm kinda partial to the new MINIs.
I'm just about to watch "The Italian Job" -- the original w/Michael Caine.
I got MINIs on the brain since I can not pick mine up 'til early next week.

Looks nice! I can't wait to see an interior at night.

Deb, Krut was Week 3, and in fact started the thread.
